Under utilized at UM his first couple years because of depth, and this past season due to poor qb play.

He, Sarratt and Cooper should be able to do some real damage down the field if Mendoza’s as good as advertised and the OL does what it needs to do.

Huge get! Sprinkle in the return of Coby, EJ, and a super talented newcomer in Jackson and we have some great weapons and improved speed. Plus, I think Bond will be a threat to steal minutes with his game changing speed.

An aspect that I think is going to be interesting is how they utilize Hemby as a receiving threat.

All of these weapons have alleviated a bit of my stress for not having a clear receiving threat from the TE position…yet

EJ Williams, when healthy, is a genuine great talent. He's a former 4-5 star reciever from Clemson, top 80 overall player in his class, and now a senior.

I think you meant Cooper, not Coby.

He's out of eligibility.

If EJ stays healthy...what a WR room.

I definitely hope EJ can finally get and stay healthy. Unfortunately for him and the team, that’s been an issue his 2 years here. A great talent, no doubt. Hoping next year will be his breakout year.

Also, hope to see some of the younger guys getting some meaningful PT in the 5th and 6th receiver spot.

Will West be starting TE? Or, someone else who’s been acquired from the portal?

I too would like to see more of our HS recruits getting reps. I think CCC is walking a fine line between showing IU is real by having great back-2-back years (trusting portal more than breaking new people in) and giving a big group some On the Job Training, and dealing with those growing pains.

Definitely a concern because it leaves open the potential to be recruited against, but the flip side will be that by year 3 the young guys will be his recruits. I also like that a handful of the transfers of a couple years of eligibility.

The young WR I'm curious to see if he makes the right moves to get more PT is Becker. One of the tallest wideouts in the room at 6'4", and made that jet sweep against WIL look pretty easy after shrugging off a tackle attempt to get into the endzone.

Right, as it stands now, I trust our coaches to know where our own recruits fit onto the field against the "brand" schools. Our coaches just finished year 1 as we emerge to be the new super-power of the BIG. Baby steps.

Actually I'm pretty sure he has one more year per the JC memo if he chooses to utilize it here and/or we have a scholarship available for him...

I hope he learns to hold onto his catches. Guy has been a drop machine.

True but he was a solid Special Teams gunner and he did hang onto a few of those balls for TD's... I'm thinking that one more year with Cigs type of "accountability and effort" work in practice might just get him focused and productive all of the time rather than just occasionally...

This is what I'm going off of. He's not said anything about coming back.

I’ve heard nothing about him coming back. Didn’t think he even had eligibility, but if he does due to the recent JUCO decision, think we’d have heard by now.

Hope to see some of the newbie WRs at 4-6 spots get on the field.

It's clear that he does have it if he wants to utilize it... Whether he's decided to move on to the next phase of his life or there isn't a scholarship available at that position any longer is the issue...
