Two for two today

Welcome to Josh Sales and Maurice Freeman. Nice job getting two guys from quality programs. Shaping up to be a decent class no matter what the rankings say. Finish this class strong.

 

Yeah, I know it'll likely end up a smaller class but it's a talented class. Have a good season and we will reap the rewards.

 

Both look like really good players.

Coach Jones has to be happy today.

IU has been really good lately at turning most of the recruits into contributors. I have a good feeling about these 2 as well.

 

To think the team has been so young that we may only be able to take a max of what 16-18? It’s a testament to the depth being built to where IU may be in the enviable position of red-shirting most Freshman now except for the absolute studs who can crack the two-deep, or play and contribute as a third stringer. That is a way to build depth for now and I to the future. THIS small class may be able to redshirt 85-90% of the class. That’s a good thing to me.

 

I really like the players in this class, as they contribute to our depth and fill in positions down the line that open up due to graduation.

 

We need a Center, DE, A LB or two, and another OL.

 

A LB? I thought we were OK there. We only play 2 at a time.

Hopefully any 3rd string frosh aren't playing and contributing In more than 4 games.

 

There is talk about six games and keep your redshirt.

 

For this year only due to COVID?

 

that would make sense and be fair too.

 

We will finish the class with a OT, DE, and a WR or two. We don't need anymore LBs and we have plenty of interior OL that can play the Center spot.
