Trump: The First 100 Days

Gas is still EXPENSIVE. Just paid $4.39 for premium a couple days ago.

It's amazing how dumb one has to be to try to blame or credit a president on gas prices. Like they have anything to do with it. Just shows a complete lack of understanding of how things work.

Even more nuts to try to give credit when the price hasn't changed drastically at all. just fluctuates as always and changes when they go to the winter mixture and again when going back to the summer mixture.

trump's gas rose 6 cents max or something close to that during his first presidency. floor posted watch what gas does. biden took 200 actions that impacted gas. there are countless things a president does that directly and indirectly impact the price of gas at the pump. watch trump let tariffs fly at what he first proposed then watch the price of gas. it won't be good

Finally, the pivot to “Dems suck” every time Trump’s problems/failings are noted is a weak and fallacious argument. Yes, they suck. They got beat. They’re out of power. But here’s the deal. Trump is president now. He is and should be the focus. Biden and Harris are irrelevant.
Biden should be irrelevant but not Harris. Trump sure wasn't irrelevant from 2000 to 2024.

yea, had to decide if you wanted to buy the trumpcoin, altered bible or golden trump shoes.

And if referring to his legal troubles, he earned those on his own. voters saved him.

You fool. You absolute buffoon.

I suppose you don’t remember Biden promising to turn Saudi Arabia in a “pariah” and then years later going hat in hand to OPEC asking for them to increase production. Surprisingly OPEC didn’t play along. I suppose you don’t remember cancelling agreed to oil leases, and issuing only 10% of what previous administrations has issued as far as new leases on public land. Or regulating oil production out the wazoo.

It’s all here. Educate yourself cretin.

In the broader scheme of energy I suppose you have forgotten the cancelling of LNG exports. That’s okay, according to Mike Johnson, Biden forgot as well.

Morons. Absolute god damn nincompoops will point to record oil production in 2023 as evidence that Biden wasn’t all that hard on the industry. That’s why they’re morons. What they fail to mention is that 2023 figure still fell 1.1 million barrels a day below forecast. And that it was due to innovation and a shift from public to private land.

They get zero credit, none.

These are all things you would know if you bothered to take even a second to inform yourself before firing up your computer and vomiting all over this forum for all to see.

Leave Hickory. Go now.

No we got here bc the last election was a referendum on woke politics. It’s why the pubs won everything.

And will continue to win if AOC is the face of the party and Dems run squad candidates

Dems haven’t learned a thing
Trump and Republicans promised nothing but the best people.

Here's another typical Republican:

He is silly."

VPM says "vast majority of Americans" support him blah blah blah blah blah, but only 49.8 % of the actual voters voted for Ttump. If they didn't vote for Trump, there is no way they would support another crazy idea from VPM.

In his little world, VPM thinks he is in the majority. He doesn't know the difference between "vast majority of Americans" and 49.8 % of Americans.

No but he had enough sense not to vote for Harris. Did you? Oh you were the big walz fan 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. That’s right. Squad politics yeahhhhhhh.

This is applicable to 100% of life. Personal, politicians, whatever. I wish this was a mantra for morons in training.

I agree with you on the reality of the situation. Prices were never going to go back down. Ever. But if the question is why does he get such low marks, that's why. If he didn't want to be judged against unreasonable expectations, then he shouldn't have made so many unreasonable promises.
Trump never accepted the idea that ANY of his ideas would be unreasonable. He wasn't really trying to have his ideas become acceptible.

Trump's goal of stating a goal or promise is only to generate a favorable response among his followers and public opinion. Nothing Trump says has any credence.

What about harris’ position that trump will have a national abortion ban? Did that happen?

What about Harris’ cover up of Biden’s condition?

What about Biden’s endless inflation lies?

Do you think it might just be politicians or are you just here to troll and cry more and shit on another thread?

Trump's overall approval ratings at 44% aren't all that bad compared with say Biden.

Quite frankly given the heavy handed way the administration is implementing its policies I am surprised the approval ratings aren't lower.

Having said that, the country is divided according to pollsters about the way Trump is implementing policies such as trade and overhauling the federal government, so my comment isn't felt across the board.

So hang in there, as the volatility and fear associated with it may mellow out.
That's really weak.

Why not compare Trump's rating to Attila's or Nero's?

This is all part of the brilliant master plan.

A plan that we mere mortals, economists, business leaders and finance execs simply are unable to comprehend. Only gravy seals and meatheads in too tight Under Armor Freedom tee shirts can keep up.

We are so blessed.
And, Trump thinks the rest of us are foolish and outright stupid for asserting a position that we actually intend to follow and implement. Trump doesn't do that.

Instead, Trump follows the following philosophy (though I can't remrmber who said it first):

"Words are just puffs of air to get me what I want."

At this point in Biden’s term they were gearing up for the complete draw down of U.S. personnel in Afghanistan.

Once that withdrawal was executed his approvals never recovered.
Ah, there it is again.

Trump is brilliant, according to Farva, because Joe Biden allegedly did something else.

YAWN.

With respect to the 2016 election, I despise the Clintons and have said so repeatedly here. She was a bad candidate, but still easily won the popular vote.

Regarding 2024, and as I’ve said repeatedly, Joe and Jill were selfish, hanging on much too long. By the time he stepped aside, it was too late for other options. Someone with presidential aspirations can’t launch a campaign three months out. The only one with the campaign money and infrastructure already in place was Harris.

Also, the GOP has that relatively rare federal government trifecta (control of the White House, the Senste and House). This is the time when they’re supposed to be getting shit done for the American people. Instead, it’s chaos, cuts, confusion, Trump insulting and pissing off our allies, Trump’s stupid and ever-changing trade wars, Trump trying to control higher education, Trump trying to control Big Law, book bans and eliminating references to “crop diversity” in farming because of the word “diversity.” Complete shitshow.
Republicans don't know what they are doing, except for typical Republicans like this one:

The thread topic is literally a comparison of approval ratings after 100 days through different administrations.

Maybe you should read closer? Or better yet, shut the hell up.

Probably the worst poster on the board. And mark will come along and bam people responding to his dumb ass

Let me make this simple for you. So a simpleton like you can understand. It’s meaningless. Let’s see where it is in 2026. Had an approval in the first 100 mattered Dems wouldn’t have lost the house and his approval tank
Ah. McMurtry calls a timeout for eight months.

Yeah, that's how businessmen run a government "like a business" -- shut it down for eight months until public opinion improves.

Or a progressive stuffshot. Stuffshot gives away so much free cheese it spikes inflation to a 41 year high that we are all stuck with now

I get why some of you don’t want to look back to Biden Harris. It’s just that bad. Unfortunately it affects where we are today and going fwd

Nah.

When you post crap, I will point it out. You of all have no right to expect that you will be the one to dictate what a thread may contain.

It is a fallacy that you dislike free cheese, no matter what you say.

You only seem to oppose "free cheese" that is given to the wrong (in your opinion) people.

Democrats, you, anyone really... that continue to be surprised, pissed, appalled, by the things Trump says and does... really need to start focusing on "their own" candidates, and frankly, themselves.

Trump is awful... he's an awful human being, he's an awful organizational leader, he's awful. And his first few months in office have been exasperatingly bad, on most accounts.

But as an independent, I'm no closer to voting for more Democrats today than I was last fall. And honestly, the more Trump bashing I hear, without any sort of ideas or plans coming from quality people and candidates on the other side... the less I care how bad Trump is.

Beshear, Shapiro, Moore, Kelly... some phucking one (other than AOC types)... step up, become the opposition "leader"... and start leading the other side.

Or... just continue to whine and complain... and learn absolutely nothing on why that idiot is in the Oval Office in the first place. Less than half the voters "liked" him, or believed in him, when he destroyed Harris last fall. That's how bad the Dems are right now.

Get "your" asses to work. Start inundating the House and Senate with what should be bipartisan supported bills. Largely ignore the Chief Idiot and his minions. THAT path leads to blue waves next fall, leads to a Democrat POTUS in 28... Focusing and complaining about Trump leads us further down the MAGA path. I'm so sick and tired of BOTH sides right now.
@Stuffshot this is the post you need to read

The amounts and circumstances and mission. Dems get it alllllllllllll wrong. It’s anti American

See, my post was perfectly on topic. This little sideshow you’re starting is not.

Why do you have to work out your demons on us you freak?

Here comes McMurtry to save the day. What a hero!

You and a few others aren’t here to debate in good faith. You’re only here to bleat. To whine I hate trump. Never participate in the fun threads that make this place great. Only the I hate your side threads to pile on. What a horrible way to live. Makes for a horrible poster too. It’s a shame you and your ilk can’t be relegated to a different board or restricted to one thread.
