Trump got his ass kicked today.

And the Red Hot Chili Peppers as nazi surfers. It really does have everything....

including COMEDY
Iconic. My minion has a Red Hot Chili Peppers shirt. Dosed is one of the greatest break up songs ever.

Swayze brought us one of those moments when keanu let him go at the beach. The first time the music comes on in Rocky. Mel Gibson’s braveheart freedom speech. The drunk speech on the boat in jaws. Paul newmans closing in the verdict. Are all of those funny to you?

Probably time to take a beat and sort yourself out

Unfortunately it may not be a good thing because Trump is so thin skinned he could reverse course simply because he was exposed to be wearing no clothes. That’s a problem. We have an idiot in the office and he’ll act out because his feelings are hurt.
Suspect every day Trump gets headlines, rather good or bad, he considers it a good day.

Remember swayze is no longer with us. Can you imagine just deciding his art is a comedy. Unreal. I hate this board
Point of parliamentary procedure. I’m retaining my time in order to present this mic drop.

A movies containing Gary Busey and this ****ing national treasure:

…is by default, a comedy. Good day sir.

Whitmer about to be public enemy number one of the TDS crowd. She just cost herself any chance in 2028.

I disagree. She's a female (by all appearances) governor and, therefore, vaults to the front in a Presidential race as a Democrat.

The Left knows this is all for show on her part. They know the minute she would take office, she'd reverse everything Trump has done.

$30 an hour would put every single business in my industry out of business. It would raise prices 5-10x. Maybe 20x more
No doubt. But isn't the goal of all this is to raise the standard of living for the working Amercican?

I was just using a factory job as a contrast to door dashing.

I don’t think people realize the difference. Factory workers in some of these countries make a $1.50 an hour. No benes. Nothin. Think of that compared to now $30 an hour here under your post
Agreed. Just commenting on the door dashing comment.

But as a side comment, how can non-union auto workers in the US - who get paid the same as union workers - compete in the US with vehicles from low-wage companies? It's partly by good management, but it's also by increased productivity in the US. That's where the US can compete - by being more productive.

How does Germany compete in the world, with some of the world's highest wages?

The easy way out is to import from low wage countries. When tariffs make that not so easy, it drives innovation and productivity domestically. In theory, at least.

Nice vent. In a vacuum sure, all of the above is reasonable. But we don’t live in that world, and Trump for all the excesses like your examples above was/ is still preferable to the alternative. And people voted him in with eyes open knowing stuff like the above was a possibility or even probability.

They also recognized that impulsive and slap dash as he is, the notion that he can’t be talked down is untrue.
We'd all love a calmer situation. But if a $37 trillion debt doesn't call for extreme action, what does?

No, it's not undemocratic.

But for trading partners, our attitudes are unstable. For the last 50 or so years, there has been a biparty consensus on our support for NATO, trade deals, the lack of wisdom in tariffs, etc. If we as a nation are now divided on those issues, and our elections seesaw back and forth between parties with polar opposite views, those trading parties have a lot of uncertainty.
Yes, not arguing that it's unstable to our trading partners. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but it is unstable to them, no doubt. It's always unsettling when someone realizes they're being taken advantage of and refuses to play along.

But your post addressed the democratic aspect of it.

The above is what I was trying to express. I used the word democratic because the trading partners are dealing with a policy that could change drastically every 2-4 years based on the election results, so tried to coin a term for it.
