Fun watching that SoCon final: Wofford topping Furman. Not sure how they finished because Furman was lobbing shots at the end, but late in the game both teams were shooting over 50% on 3s. Wofford's center shot granny style free throws, and made them. Intense D... everything a tournament game should be!

Watched Duke v UNC and as good as Duke's players are, I don't see that team making a deep tourney run: no guards. They use Flagg to initiate the offense more than anyone. I think a team with tough, quick guards will take them out. Flagg and Knuppel are impressive though! What else have you seen?

I hate it that IU has the early noon game on Thursday. My wife and I like to bar hop with the colors on, eventually finding our hot-saucy fingers on shrimp cocktail at St Elmo’s…that sort of thing they call “progressive drunk,” college basketball induced, culminating at Nicky Blaine’s in a cigar-soaked dungeon of red satin dankness before flagging a cab to play “Find My Car.”

My point, playing the early game it’s not as easy to pull off, the bars not opening soon enough. We shall persevere someday, this Thursday. Look for gray (or grey) beard in red sweater answering to name, “abraxis” next to hot trophy wife, earned. I might even buy you a beer if trusting looks in red be decked.

portal is eventually going to kill the little guys, there getting poached worse than lucy at the assisted living center
They need to shine before they get pouched. Could see a lot more go there to start since no1 will pay them the big bucks to start.

I prefer to drink before the game. The anticipation of unknown what’s-to-come is what makes it fun. (Think Christmas Eve vs Christmas Day night) Your scenario only works if IU wins, otherwise it’s a major downer with downtown becoming a ghost town with nary a candy stripe in sight.

Yes, the upstairs “1933 Lounge” at St Elmo’s is a hidden gem. It seems like it would be a good place for gentlemen to loosen up their escorts before servicing.
