Thanks. That’s fun to see. Adam’s ads are annoying however.I hadn’t seen this posted. Good to see how many upgrades are happening for Indiana football.
I agree! Thanks. That’s fun to see. Adam’s ads are annoying however.
I'm so old I remember when you could buy a whole stadium for that.I hadn’t seen this posted. Good to see how many upgrades are happening for Indiana football.
Yep. Greenspan started it, and Glass and Dolson have continued. If you want to compete you have no choice.IU has come a long way in the last 20 years. Other schools have too, but we have closed the gap to a lot of our competition.
Is this a football only weight room? And if so, I assume there's another room that all other athletes have to share.I hadn’t seen this posted. Good to see how many upgrades are happening for Indiana football.
Andt that place needs it!![]()
But … how many just “IMPROVEMENT” projects has PSU had in the last 10 years that are more than $86,000,000? I think they are in the start of a $700,000,000 (!) renovation right now. (Yo! Scott Dolson! Give that Pat Kraft dude a call and get a loan!)
And if ours is this nice at $86,000,000, what the heck do these other guys spend their money on? Water slides? Private interstate ramps to parking?

… and coaching salariesI bet in general college athletics facility builds/upgrades slow down a lot as schools have to start paying athletes. Luckily, we have good cash flow from media rights and another $20M+ of income starting in 2026 when the expanded playoffs start.
The massive looking weight room has been split in half, not massive looking anymoreFor the most part, I see the same rooms as I toured just four years ago. Biggest exception is the weight room. Since they are splitting it with the Olympic sports will that make it smaller for the football specific side ? And what was that comment a player made to the host about the barber shop?
It depends on how the split is set up. I bet the football side will still look huge. The massive looking weight room has been split in half, not massive looking anymore
Coaching salaries will be interesting. Some recent contracts seem to have re-openers that cause renegotiation if the player compensation started. Heard that was the case with Drinkwitz at Missouri. Probably others as well. Wonder what kind of haircut he and others will get.… and coaching salaries
For the absolute dumbest reason, which a lot of folks on this message board and other places swallowed hook, line and sinker. The massive looking weight room has been split in half, not massive looking anymore

IIRC from a recent interview, it sounds like Scott is looking for a Simon-Skjodt type gift to jump start the next addition to Memorial Stadium.Just need to get the east side suites back on the schedule.
It certainly has gotten squirrely fast. Unfortunate they didn’t get that project going pre Covid. Initial phase was basically spoken for. Starting from scratch now.IIRC from a recent interview, it sounds like Scott is looking for a Simon-Skjodt type gift to jump start the next addition to Memorial Stadium.
I’d guess it must be tough to balance donations for a stadium addition vs NIL. If someone wanted to make large donation, it seems IU may prefer it be multi-year NIL support. Better ROI to have a good team and sell out the current stadium. Suites appear to cost a lot to build vs annual revenue generated — though it would be cool to have them, don’t get me wrong. I don’t know how IU looks at it, it’s just an interesting dynamic.
Ha. Hopefully Levy ups the concessions, including popcorn.Forget about the suites. can they not afford to make the popcorn fresh each game? lol
Yes but wall hasn't been built yet![]()
IU to build football only weight room facility
Thanks to a major donation, IU football is on track to catch up competitively from a facilities standpoint, at least in one regard. The program currently shares its weight room at Memorial Stadium …www.thedailyhoosier.com
So this article about a new weight room facility was nothing more than splitting the current one in half???
The kettle corn I buy from the west stand vendor is awesome.Forget about the suites. can they not afford to make the popcorn fresh each game? lol
I'll keep that in mind. although I am the only one in my family that likes kettle cornThe kettle corn I buy from the west stand vendor is awesome.
Penn State needed the extra $$ for playground equipment, kiddie showers, finger painting supplies, tricycles etc![]()

It surely smells good walking inThe kettle corn I buy from the west stand vendor is awesome.
Blame mtiotf lolMan,I want some kettle corn right now….
That's exactly what they're doing because football recruits are spoiled and pampered and we have to bow to the trends. These are things that I know:I sure hope they aren't splitting the room. It would have been better to build a weight room elsewhere for the non-football teams. Addon to cook hall or something
