Saw a photo of this tornado compared to Tuscaloosa tornado.

Yep, reports of heavy damage and one death (so far) starting to come in. Likely won't know the full scale until sunrise.
You just reminded me of Piran, Slovenia. A little village at the tip of a promontory into the Adriatic Sea. Typical old town center packed with housing structures and orange tile roofs. Whenever there is a torrential rain the little cobblestone lanes are flooded with pigeon droppings.

It’s where we chose to get married. Note the church on the hill. Slovenia has about 101 gazillion churches on hills.
Right after you posted this, we turned out tv to the 3 news networks. None were covering it at that time. CNN, MSNBC, and Fox should be stripped of the right to use the word "news" in their names and required to use "Partisan Opinion".
Actually and speaking of which, the formalities were conducted at the magistrate’s in town hall. Then we walked up to the church and had some quiet moments together. And it was a Saturday. This was before Slovenia became independent and all weddings occurred on Saturdays.
