so for the SP500The discussion was about 2022. The SP500 was down over 18%. You should be able to google that info yourself.
2020 was amazing
2021 was good
2022 sucked
2023 was pretty good
2024 has been great

Honestly my investments are at all time highs, which only happens if you simply keep paying in and leave it alone. When I saw that the market hit 40k, I was like, what? So had to go look. I had been watching my bottom line, but not the over all market.
Slowest damn climb over the last 6 months that I can recall (for my accounts I mean), and to hit 40k still has me wondering how my bottom line isn't 20% higher.
Yea, all of that. I added the "keep contributing" part because I am still in that phase of life..... for a little bit yet (hopefully). C'mon 50k !!!!You don't even have to continue paying in. I haven't added anything since retiring in December of 2020. Mine maxxed out in January 2022, then took a dive like everyone else.
Yeah, it took until March 2024 for my stuff to get back to its January 2022 high, and it's still nudging higher in fits and starts. I've been lucky enough to not have to tap into any of it and shouldn't need to for the foreseeable. future.

I hope that you are not expecting an argument from me. I'm more than a little shocked that the market has maintained what it has, considering. Also just to be completely transparent. My knowledge of all of this, is about equal to a 14 yr old, 3rd grade level investor. But we didn't need to have 2022 with the SP500 down 18% and the AGG (bonds) down 13%. It was all preventable or could have been minimized if not partly due to Biden's decisions.
2021 the the Biden rescue plan the consequences 2022 Biden handcuffed thereafter. The less Biden and his progressive domestic party does the better things will getso for the SP500

Cracker Barrel in trouble.Looks like Biden hasn’t been good for Red Lobster. 😂
When did she say that? I'm not like a huge fan of Cracker Barrel, my family is, but if you've ever tried to get into one on a Sunday forget it. They are extremely popular with the south and I've been traveling from Louisville back to Indy and could not find one with less than an hour wait off the freeway.
That’s been my experience. To call them not relevant seems odd. When did she say that?
