Psst . . . he coaches the packline, too. And took 3 years at his current job to get to the tournament. And was the coach of the 1st #1 seed - make that the TOP SEED of the tournament - to lose to a #16 seed. Plus previous administrations treated his sister like shit. You gonna pay him $10 mil, too?

Bennett can't even see Archie in the rearview mirror in terms of coaching ability. I don't get the hate for Bennett (he's the guy I wanted) he wins the ACC every year at Virginia of all places. They are always a top seed, and he'll break through in the tournament eventually, he has been to an elite 8 already.
LOL! you must be on some good stuff if you think any of those well established coaches will come here if we fired Archie after two years. If there was a coaching change this year we would be lucky to get Brad Brownell from Clemson
I don't hate Bennett; in fact, if we do move on from Archie I'd love to have him here.
But if we do it as @fpeaugh wants and can him withiout giving him time to try to succeed, you think Bennett won't notice? Along with the fact how IU forced out Kathi back in '05? Bennett has built a pretty solid program at UVA and - given how fpeaugh and his cronies want to operate - likely isn't heading to B-town anytime soon.
Yup I’m sure all of those elite coaches would be scared off by high expectations.
Scott of all the good candidates on this board I consider you dead last on this board when it comes to basketball knowledge and realism. That’s saying a lot.
Why would he leave UVA for this fan base because he can accomplish everything at UVA that he can at IU. He has a great job at UVA that he has proven where he can win the best conference in the country and get a #1 seed. So what could he do at IU that he can't at UVA. Also for some of you who wants us to be like Duke or UK and recruit alot of one and done then Bennett would not be your guy.

Questions about support from the administration (if we go about canning Archie your way)? Absolutely.
I did not say they were scared but why leave there stable job for this one where you would be fired after two years. Those coaches have proven that they can win where they are at and could do everything at those jobs that theu could do at IU

Well when IU comes calling they would up there deal to keep them. You don't think KU would up there ffer to Self if someone would come calling for self. You don't think the Celtics or thunder could not afford to pay more than what IU can. Some of you guys live in fantasy land and still thinks that IU has this great prestige and anyone would just be willing to come coach at IU. You always bring up UK but Donovan turned them down twice so why would he even look at IU. It took UNC three times to finally get Roy Williams and the only reason he left KU was that Smith wanted him to finally come home.

You should start by not watching games and then by not posting on an IU board.
So do it including posting on message boards. I feel some of you take college sports way to seriously and your identity is based n how your favorite sports team does.
