Todd talks about what he thinks the IUBB program needs and explains why he high on Dusty May as Indiana's next coach, saying he thinks that "if he is offered the job, he would take it."
I'm afraid your second paragraph says it all.I do get Tom Crean vibes from Dusty May. But of the realistic, more proven P4 coaches out there, he'd be my choice.
I think McCollum is the best candidate. And 5 years from now, when he's dominating at Iowa of all places, we'll all lament missing this opportunity.
But Dusty May will be more than capable of producing really good teams too, I suspect. I just worry that he'll be a guy that won't have IU as a contending team as consistently as "we" would like.
Unless Dusty turns us down and McCollum is the choice. However, I think it’s a bit premature to say that May couldn’t win big to keep IU fans happy. Look what he’s done in one year at Michigan and what he did at FAU taking them to a FF.I'm afraid your second paragraph says it all.
Actually I think it's premature to say he can. That's my point.Unless Dusty turns us down and McCollum is the choice. However, I think it’s a bit premature to say that May couldn’t win big to keep IU fans happy. Look what he’s done in one year at Michigan and what he did at FAU taking them to a FF.

Felon.. But cool.
Got pulled out of AH by the sting Police.
Makes him cooler right?
Exonerated.?
I still believe Fisch has nothing to do with him.
Not a good public moment to live through I’m guessing.
But f*ck Fisch right?
Go Hoosiers.

I'm not sure I follow.
He is younger and much more capable of learning than Crean was. And quite frankly, he's on his way to 25 wins in 3 years in 3 conferences. If he does that it is probably a record. Plus Crean never won 25 games 3 times in a row, let alone in 3 conferences/2 schools.I do get Tom Crean vibes from Dusty May.
