Just a tremendous comeback by the Americans after going down 3-1 in the second half. The defense was absolutely suspect on both ends, but the US come out with the biggest friendly win in (maybe) a decade.
Today's US - Netherlands game was one of the most fun games I've watched.

Yes and no. It will help the world ranking quite a bit, which is important for the next WC draw. In fact this series of friendlies (Germany is coming up) could have a significant effect on the next world cup seeding. The US is ranked really low right now and they need to move up.
Friendlies are frequently a joke, but they aren't meaningless. The US needs to move up the rankings and this will help.
