Today I spoke with a friend whom I consider pretty well connected to the IU basketball program. He said two things about TJD. One item was unsurprising, the other caught me off guard.
First, he claimed TJD will be a Hoosier. I have felt cautiously optimistic about that likelihood for some time, so that news did not surprise me.
He did surprise me when he claimed TJD might announce his commitment this month. I can't claim this with certitude, but evidently there have been some discussions of an early commitment, and my friend believes TJD will pull the trigger for IU by Memorial Day.
Take it for what it's worth, but if we land Romeo on the last day of April, and TJD by the end of May, Archie will have landed two absolute studs in a month. Adding that kind of talent to compliment the foundation he built last year with four 4-stars and Race, gets me excited about the future of IU basketball.
