News flash: things can't get much worse than current state of the program. We're a bottom half of B1G basketball program currently. How much worse can we get Rutgers?? Even they have beaten us during each of Archie's first 2 years. We're at rock bottom.

Wow.. this reminds me a long time ago when I lived in Hickory we had a Navy veteran who coached our team. Can't remember his last name but Coach Norman they called him. Same thing as what's going on here. People disenchanted. Young boy named Jimmy decided to play only if coach stayed. Wouldn't it be ironic if say, transfer Parker Stewart only decides to play if Coach Archie stays? This very well could be the turning point and shot in the arm your program needs!

I have noticed that as the season has gone on, I have seen a strong inverse relationship in my coming to this site. The more I see the people hating on CAM, the less desire I have to visit here.
I thought it may be due to IU's less than stellar play this year, but in all honesty in other "bad years" I still came here a lot. Even when the CTC issue was playing out, i still came here a lot. i think THIS year I do not want to be here to deal with the constant arguing, name-calling and negativity.
These condtions do not add to the enjoyment I should get from being here. If I am not enjoying the experience than why shoud I be here? So my time spent being here is decreasing significantly.

He is not unobjectively not good and he has made like $10M off of IU already for being not good and not living up to known expectations. He needs to go, the only thing I disagree about is whether this is the right time in terms of a replacement

You don't get the POINT! There is no consistent enjoyment of IU Ball till this gets fixed. My enjoyment of bad basketball isn't mitigated by your defense of it.

Agree. I do not want anything bad to happen to Archie. I just want a more successful coach. I think he will be fired in 2022 or 2023. I just wish it were now to hopefully avoid 2 more years of mediocrity.

When the team has sucked for 20 years you aren't gonna get the deep dives into the team and stats like that of a winning program. You had posters spend hours daily on really formulating posts and thoughts about this program. People spend less time, less interest, less tolerance. Mix that in with the internet evolving, there ya go. Also about 10 places to talk IU bball now, they all are the same. Program sucks and people are not afraid to tell ya how they think.
