Eff politics and let's talk about what really matters. I'd love to hear your EXPERT tips/advice.

I'm playing in my first DG tournament tomorrow in the MA3 division with about 30 in our division. I hurt my throwing shoulder a few weeks ago so I'll be throwing 95% forehand (anything outside of 75-100 ft). Even with the handicap, my goal is to shoot Even for the tourney and, if I'm feeling ok, about -8 to win the damn thing for the Hoosier Nation.

Let me know what you think will help me make it to the podium and let the Colorado natives and other transplants know that Disc Golf is more than a game in Indiana.

Should I bring a Bluetooth speaker and loudly listen to Mellencamp on repeat?
Should I critique others' form?

I'd definitely get loaded before I went. Seems I always play better in whatever I do.

At least thats what I remember when I wake up the next day.
Sounds like a good plan with a 7am check-in time and high-30s weather in the morning. Guess I'll need to set up a tailgate around 5:30-6am.

Bluto Blutarsky..."My advice to you is to drink heavily".

"I would listen to him, he is in pre-med"

Throw a mid off the tee if your form isn't there. It's MA3, you'll probably pick up strokes on the field.
No doubles. Limit you mistake to a bogey. Take the medicine and chip out.
Warm up. No really. We're old (at least I am)

Never Mellencamp. Always bluegrass or jam bands
Always critique other's form in a competitive situation. Offer tips. Or just watch them throw and then shake your head subtly.

I definitely wouldn’t worry about rubbers.
No need. We raw dog bro. Always.

Do you have time to complete your transition?
Actually, there is a transgender female playing professional disc golf and it has started quite the stir.

What course is it at?

What course is it at?
Down in Colorado Springs. My friend asked if I'd play so I'm making the drive down and I've only played two of the four courses.

Tomorrow we play Aviary and Widefield -- these are the two harder courses that I haven't played.
Sunday we play Cottonwood and Rampart.

My goal is to shoot even tomorrow and potentially make a run on Sunday. Not having a backhand will make it more difficult but I have lots of forehand discs that I can shape.

But I only throw Halo Destroyers (j/k). Since I'm throwing forehand on pretty much every drive, I'll be throwing Buzzz's and my Zone OS for shorter holes and my Tesla and Photon for longer drives. For longer shots that need a backhand shape, I have a Vanish and Trail.

Also agree with the no doubles. Just going to play par golf and hoping some of those turn into birdies.

How's the Trail on backhand? I've tried a Gstar Gorgon but i ****ing hate Gstar so it found a pond when it flipped over and i never looked back.

If i recall you're about 350-400 on backhand?

I'm around 300-350 backhand and forehand. If I want to kill my arm, my forehand is around 375-400.

I really like the Trail because you can put it on a slight hyzer and it just flies straight with a slight hyzer finish. On forehand, I pretty much do the same thing and it glides effortlessly 300+. The only problem (like your Gorgon) is that it can quickly dive and flip over. Highly recommend though. I found two of the special edition stamps in Cali.

I've got the 350 on backhand but forehand is 200 and in and that's it.

Now, all i have to do is convince my wife to move to central North Carolina and I'm golden.

I had no idea that were that many frisbee golf places. I zoomed out on the and just about choked on my 5:00 Friday bourbon.
