Reactions: CC Mac
$60 for the B1G games seems too expensive for the market

th

should be endzone and designated upper corners of east and west stands, adults $20 each, kids thru HS, $1 each.

general admission, no points, and only for games listed.

not rocket science, won't cannibalize your regular sales to the base, you still get parking and concessions, and the incremental revenue will likely more than offset any cannibalized sales..

----------------------------------------------------

at least Glass doesn't even try to pretend that he gives a sht about increasing attendance to make recruiting easier and build a base.

Glass isn't interested in a base of non 1-20 percenters, as total revenue is far more important to him, and that can be achieved by soaking the base for more and more and more, without worrying about growing the base..

by hey, when we get 36,000 in there, we can just claim it was really 46,000, and the visual was just an optical illusion.

i get it. how do you do promotions without pissing off the base, who you grossly overcharge relative to the market.

not that hard, if you don't go out of the way to make it hard.

easiest way would be to have general admission sections with no points.

when IU decided to make the NEZ premium seating, (worthy of a triple facepalm of it's own), then filled in the SEZ, the last lot of beachfront property, with administrative space and royal boxes, that made that option a lot more complicated, thus the constant head scratcher Rube Goldbergesque promotions that always contain multiple limitations that only compound their ineffectiveness.

hope for a miracle has always been IU's marketing strategy.

what other industry makes absolutely zero attempt to sell unsold capacity?

IU could do a much better job filling the stadium. they just don't care, and never have.

promotions can always be backed off of, the instant that miracle hits.

No problem with what you are saying here as it fundamentally correct. That said, he needs to build the premium packages as well as the nosebleed fillers. These are not mutually exclusive.
