NO!!! We need that ability as a lockdown corner! Tired of all the speed going to offense.
Agree we have PLENTY of speed on offense. So much so that we could get really creative. Gest could easily fit in some packages and Ramsey even as a backup should get some reps somewhere.
TM will be a stud corner for us and thats where he needs to be. Our defense has speed too and we should see improvement this year in 3 parts.
1. Last year Ballou and Rhea focused on overall speed. This year acceleration. So I expect us to be faster to the ball.
2. While all that sounds good you have to know where to be in the defense and how to react. This is year 4 (CTA) so I expect a jump forward just from knowledge alone of the scheme we run. It shouldn't change much. Wommack will run the same stuff and has the same lingo.
3. We played a ton of guys last year. It was almost in some cases a throw em in the fire mix. That should pay off but it remains to be seen. Bottom line we should be much more experienced and that should help alot! Add to that the class we grabbed in 2018 has alot of Florida defensive studs with mean streaks and speed. It should show up this year!
