They started out talking Indiana football. It was far more insightful and interesting than any of the talking heads affiliated with this website. The two guys there addressed real issues that are not even considered here.

I don't listen to them too often and I do listen to the Jim Coyle show regularly. But today's Hoosier Hysterics was far more insightful, much better prepared and far more intelligent than anything else I've listened to recently.

Check out today show. They spend the first hour or so talking mostly big picture issues with Indiana's lack of support for football.

Also I have to add that it is very disappointing to still not to hear Bob Kravitz or Don Fischer weigh-in yet on Jim Coyle's show. And even when they do it's usually all fluff. Instead they're going to talk more about what they did last weekend, the weather and how their golf game is going.

You don't become the D1 team with the most loses by accident. I have followed IU football since the mid-seventies. There has been very little to cheer about in those 40+ years of losing IU football. The Athletic Dept can look across the assembly hall offices & see the answer. What CTM has done with the WBB program is just short of remarkable. IU Woman's basketball was a lower level program for decades. I realize that moving the IU Football needle is much tougher, but my point is that we have made several bad coaching hires over those 40+ years. If you hire the right person, good things can happen.

1. who ties the hands of the AD to not make football more of a priority?
2. We hear about all of the tv revenue we receive, who decides where it is applied? Why not a new indoor facility?
3. What does the new weight room project entail?

The only thing I am clear on is that, while we appreciate you listening, you find ISB Radio to be an inferior show that does not meet your standards for insightful content. (FYI, I do about 28 shows a month, every month, not 1 or 2. Would you like to guess how much time it takes to prepare for and produce 28 shows a month? Add going to every game, home and away, every press conference, the writing, the filming, the editing, the downloading, the uploading, the posting, and whatever else I have to do - every day. 70-hour weeks are the norm, but I want to apologize to you for not being "better prepared" & "far more insightful."

I am a credentialed member of the media, which means I cannot/will not act like a spoiled, butthurt, brat who got his hand slapped for biting the hand that fed him. And what is it exactly you want Bob or Don to "weigh in on," or be "far more insight on?" Indiana's lack of support for football? Is this a serious question? You mean the school that in less than a year has doubled its NIL investment, that just locked down their head coach making him one of the highest paid in the B1G, that bumped its assistant's salary pool to the 2nd highest in the country behind only Ohio State, that is in the process of stadium renovation plans? Is that what you are wanting more insight on and for Don and Bob to weigh in on? What "big picture issues," what "real issues" are you even talking about? I have to hand it to you Jim: you called it early in the year standing firm that IU would be 10-0 heading into the OSU game. You said it early and often. You saw the potential a lot earlier than the doubters. Oh, and I enjoy your show. You do good work.

Jim, FWIW, 40+ years ago when I was recently out of college and working in Manhattan, I went to see a headhunting firm that specialized in managing peoples career. it wasn’t going to cost me anything and a friend had recommended that I sit down with a guy for a couple of hours, which I did.

I told him how I was stuck in an entry-level position at a company called American international group and that my job wasn’t going anywhere. I was moonlighting at night teaching accounting. And I was also taking professional courses during lunchtime in downtown Manhattan. He asked me if I had a social life or did I spend time with any hobbies such as going to the gym? Yes to both.

Then he said to me, here’s your problem. You’re busting your butt doing way too many things which makes it virtually impossible to overachieve at whatever is the most important thing to you. He was right. Thankfully, I was in my early 20s. Otherwise, I would’ve probably had a heart attack and dropped dead. I immediately stopped taking the professional designation courses that I was only taking to pad my résumé. I still had to teach at night because my pay was so poor. I also made one of the best decisions of my life which was to apply to the MBA program in Indiana University. It was immediately obvious that day that he had nailed my situation, and that I was somewhat oblivious to it.

Jim, I scratch my head wondering how you manage everything - which you somehow do. I remember one Friday morning watching your show that I believe was being broadcasted from your car because you were on your way to the airport when you realized it was Friday and not Saturday and you had to do a live show. It was great! But respectfully I think you have way too much on your plate.

On a different note how about some women’s coaches or athletes. I have NEVER seen a female guest on your show, They probably would bring interesting insights and enthusiasm that would be a plus for your show. Also, I think Mike Decourcy brings his “A” game every time. Unfortunately often you have to carry a few of your regular guests and that must make it more difficult for you.

Congratulations on your way too early 11-1 preseason prediction. Also your hoops prediction that if IU was starting the same backcourt the next season (after the tournament loss to Miami) they were going to be in trouble.

Thank you, I greatly appreciate you. You will not get an argument from me that working this much sucks, lol. I hope that changes in a few months, but, until then, you have to bale hay when the weather is good. While we have to provide the content that matters to the masses, I try my best to offer coverage to as much as possible. I made multiple requests over the last couple of years to have some of the iuwbb people on. None of those requests were ever responded to.
