Will not go anywhere until the shooting woes are corrected. CAM needs to get someone in there to instill confidence in shooting. These players can hit baskets but something is amiss during games.

I was hoping one of the freshmen could shoot because I know the returnees couldn’t. Back in the day we’d recruit a kid like Galloway and he’d be a shooter. Now you can’t find an indiana kid who can shoot. Are they all going to Purdue?

They sure look like the best team in the ACC to me. What a game. Looked like a classic B1G game.
And lost because FSU hit a couple key 3’s to keep it close and IU couldn’t hit any down the stretch to win it. IU should’ve won this game. They played better except shooting
I agree mostly. We matched up well except for Barnes. He only had 8 points but 2 of those shots where important. Kids a match up nightmare.
Therein lies the problem. This will happen over and over until it is corrected.

Our 'Indiana' recruits over the past three years have been legendary horrific shooters.
If that's the best the state has to offer then we've got to start looking elsewhere.

Purdue got Brandon Newman, Jaden Ivey, and Eric Hunter. All are better shooters.
Alex Hemenway went to Clemson. Better shooter.
Dre Davis went to Louisville. Better shooter.
Nigel Pack went to K-State. As a Freshman his last 3 games he is 10-17 from 3. He’s already a better player than Phinisee and obviously Lander, average 10+ pts a game.
Archie just can’t recruit or scout talent very well.

All going to ND and butler. The non rated slow guys, but they can shoot 40%. We pass on them.
They looked very good to me.....being FSU they'll eventually lose out to Duke & NC, but they looked damn good last night.
During the Crean years, my Dad, while lamenting the consistent turnover problem, used to say, "Yes, we recruit kids who run like gazelles and throw the ball to the pep band." Now it seems we're recruiting kids who run like gazelles and can't shoot.
One serious question on this front, and I don't know enough about basketball to know the answer, but is it possible that Coach Archie isn't recruiting some of these kids who are known as shooters because even though they might be able to shoot, they might not be able to hold their own on the defensive end? I know he's a defense first coach and I wonder if there is a certain body type/speed component to be able to play and hold up in the pack line defense...again...I just don't know what I don't know but I would love someone who does know to weight in on it. There has to be SOME rationale for not bringing guys in who can shoot.
I don't think that team will finish behind Duke this year. UNC is legit and I haven't seen UVA, but I think FSU will be right there again for the ACC title. and a top 3 finish.
I will watch that team lose every game with pride if they play like that! They attacked an athletic team which shows they learned from the Texas loss.

We discussed what Fitz was. Most figured he was recruited for the post/4 spot. I quickly pointed out he was not a real post player. He was more of a 3 that couldn’t guard a 3. We quickly found out he was not a great fit especially since he really wasn’t as good a shooter as was advertised.
Or, they lost because of a bad call by the ref when a player called for time-out. We could play this game all night long as to "if only . . ."
I've learned to read through the evil spell check.... But I got to say man that was a funny one!
