Thank you for sharing. I’m not sure I’ve ever mentioned here my father in law was born in a German Displaced Persons camp. All his family except his parents were murdered in the camps. The pain and anxiety exists today in future generations. At some point I will travel with my wife and kids to Poland but it’s certainly not something we’re looking forward to doing. We’ve actually discussed an event each year that is a bike ride from the gates of Auschwitz to Warsaw. There’s a Jewish Community Center in Warsaw that has a big Shabbat (Sabbath) celebration to celebrate the new Jewish community that’s thriving there in Warsaw. We need a way to move forward without ever forgetting the past. Being with my people to celebrate the sabbath in a place where so many Jews were exterminated is the best way I can imagine visiting Poland.@Eppy99
