Don’t work? They’ve been flown in combat by the US and Israel. The US already has more than 1100 of them and our allies are buying many hundreds of them. The development was very expensive with many design problems but “don’t work” is a totally inaccurate description of the F35.If they were truly serious about cutting wasteful spending they’d go after the $2 trillion program to design a new fighter jet (F35) that engineers can’t get to work.
