I’ve watched you dial out the “noise” many times. Honesty, integrity, logic and reason, civility, effective government, etc. are important to me and too effective government. MAGA (generally) doesn’t have those traits and won’t, IMO, contribute to effective government. I guarantee you that MAGA doesn’t think they’ve moved left. Except for embracing some things from the left like any-vax, isolationism, protectionism, and conspiracy theories, I don’t think they moved left either.
I’ve been for ridding waste from government forever. This isn’t a great MAGA idea. This is a straight stick conservative idea.

Gaetz’ antics in the House last term were disgraceful, including unseating the speaker. Gaetz was self promoting and tossed too many grenades. Perhaps Gaetz fell on the last one in this case. I’m not aware of an objective definition of MAGA culture.
I thought Trey Gowdy’s comment about the death penalty being a lifetime achievement award to be well considered. Staffer’s ideologically motivated suggestions were ill considered in this light.
There was a CR in part because too many Rs couldn’t agree that the good shouldn’t be the enemy of perfect. Shumer should have been given all 12 appropriations bills to table. Good being the enemy of perfection looks like it is still a problem.

Anti-vax is a dangerous and harmful position for the health of society. It’s been embraced by MAGAs who say they’ve done their “research,” which means they’ve read lying Twitter Twits, disinformation sites, and heard about a bad thing that happened to their sister’s hairdresser’s mailman because he got the jab.
I actually like winning over part of the old Democratic base which has long been taken for granted by the Democrats. I’m not complaining about that.

Have you been an SME that is used to sway any congress member to decide in a chosen direction that you prefer or have been paid to persuade in a particular direction that involved the spending of federal tax $'s?
