Demand has decreased relative to supply or the other way around. That’s how it always works. Still too high when it costs me $60+ to fill the tank of my coupe.

I blame Biden for closing off the Keystone pipeline. If there is less supply then it causes prices to go up. As was stated less demand makes prices go down. That is what is happening now. We don't go out and drive for fun anymore since these prices have hit us. We drive the least amount possible if we can help it. For instance I get 4 weeks vacation a yr at my current church. I usually take 4 1 week trips. This yr I am taking 2 2 weeks vacation because of gas prices.
You could use one of those two week vacations to drive out to the Keystone pipeline and turn it back on. Just turn the knob to the right. You’ll be a hero. Don’t forget to fill up after it’s turned back on. Thanks

No. However, he has done things on the geopolitical front that have hurt our bargaining power with some of OPEC's largest members and on the domestic front he (his administration) has been openly hostile to fossil fuels. He chose Iran over gas prices and he has chosen a future supposed promise of green energy over the current reality of fossil fuels.

for a long time there has been a disconnect between the price of oil and supply vs demand, let alone the cost of production.
with the price being far higher than either would otherwise dictate, thanks to monopolizing the process.
now there is a total disconnect between the price of oil and the price of gas as well, with the price of gas being far higher than it should be based in the price of oil.
why is this so?
because of illegal collusion, a broken capitalist system, lack of market competition due to said collusion, ie monopolization, and most importantly, because they now can.
most of today's inflation is because they now can, due to loss of competitive markets though collusion.
which is due to money buying govt, thus the loss of anti trust.
