Someone remind me why Parker Stewart plays?

If I ever employed a coach and found out he played someone just because he promised it I'd fire him so fast he wouldn't know what hit him.
Add Kopp to that question also. If Geronimo is healthy, I think he starts before Kopp. Phinnese or Bates before Stewart.
Dumb. JG is a 4. Phin and bates were getting eaten alive by Maldonado. Did you even watch the game?
He wasn't perfect, but he was best equipped to guard their best player. You'd think Race could have helped but it was not his night. Plus he is terrible on perimeter screens.
Race can’t guard a 2 or 3 at this point. Last few games it’s really shown. He can’t recover fast enough.
Agree. And Van needs to step away from the keyboard. That is enough Parker bashing for one night.
he has looked extremely slow the last few weeks, earlier in the season was playing with a lot more speed and energy, we have been playing better when Hes on the bench

I disagree. If they are so bad why is our defense ranked so high? You guys would get mad if you go laid.
You are correct.
There are only five players on a team, but some of these posters claim 40% of the team (Kopp and Stewart) can't do anything right. Yet our defense is rated very highly even though, according to the haters, IU has only three effective players on the court.
IU's inability to score at times does not mean Kopp and Stewart do everything wrong.

Joining late and won't read the rest of the thread before responding so.....in a nutshell
1) Defense on Maldonado with his height and bulk and
2) Spacing the floor with his ability to shoot (at least as far as the scouting report would show)
He will need to hit some threes thursday. St. Mary's will like clamp down on trace.
Agree and were it not for Parker's contribution tonight we wouldn't have advanced to find out if he can hit some 3s. JMHO
They seem to play good defense and work hard at it. They just are having such difficulty making shots lately.
