All the locals said only UK fans traveled like IU fans - but they're cheap as hell and tipped like yokels. That's what I've heard about them when they go to Indy, Louisville and Bloomington too. I'd guess they use the kids' vocational school funds to pay for their trips . . .

To add to this, Calipari had not lost at Rupp at that point in time. IU was expected to be the clear pre-season #1 team for the following season. There was no way he was going to allow IU to end his streak at home. The convenient excuses were handed out and their fans "elevated the truth" to their benefit. Dick Vitale was doing the game and he would've spoken up if anything egregious actually happened, as their fans claim.
