I know this doesn’t sound like a topic we would normally chat about. It’s certainly not a “manly’ choice of conversation. As a 51 year old man, I think I’ve been wrong about how I’ve taken care of my skin. As long as I’ve been an adult I’ve for the most part ignored the warnings. My wife, a doctor has always encouraged me to wear sunscreen and a hat. Maybe 50% of the time during the sunnier months I complied. The problem is I do it, but never re-apply. The result now is the wrinkles are showing at an early age but more concerning are the sun spots that have begun to appear on my face. I think as men we don’t want to be told what to do and especially by women. I can now say after years of playing sports outside and now watching my kids play there’s probably a good chance I will have to deal with skin cancer. Was it worth it? I guess I’ll find out.

The point is as men we don’t take care of ourselves enough. We don’t go to the doctor enough, we don’t check ourselves routinely for testicular cancer, we don’t get colonoscopies when told. I’m sure there are exceptions among us. If not for ourselves we owe it to our wives and kids. Perhaps we can support one another and even share stories that might convince us hard headed guys we don’t know everything.

It might be too late for MY skin, but perhaps it’s not for yours.

Speak for yourself… this has gotten me out of several awkward moments at work when I just needed to release some steam.

Mind you, my office is all glass…

RFK says just chug some cod liver oil and ivermectin and you’ll be fine

One’s skin reflects the condition of one’s microbiome.

Yes and no. Start with three sessions of Microneedling. That will help some. Then follow this routine. Hyaluronic Acid. You can use it liberally. Morning and night. At night retinol. It’s harsh. Start very slowly until your skin gets used to it. In the morning. Peptides. Drink tons of water.

I loved Dave Navarro’s take on cancer. He was a chain smoker and they told him it increases the chances of cancer. Eh. You only live once. I’ll do what I want. Oh and it gives you wrinkles.

He quit the next day.

Best of luck on your skincare journey. Consistency is the key. Give your products the time they need to work

Interesting.....these are all remedies I'm not familiar with. Curious are these prescribed by doctors or something you've picked up on from other sources?
