I visit Japan multiple times per year. They’re as apolitical as it gets. The westerners who work there always crack up about it and want to talk politics with the Americans when we visit. The Japanese are apolitical.

Since you’re grounded in facts let me drop some on you:
- We have a gun violence problem in America
- Too many don’t want to address it
- Too many blame guns as a univariate factor
- Too many blame mental health as a univariate factor
- The media (at scale is mostly liberal) is completely dishonest about guns and are in the third bullet above crowd - this creates a lack of meaningful discourse
- American gun culture has exactly nothing to do with what happened in Japan
- You’re the one bringing up Trump - knowing full well I loathe the man - as some sort of WWE finishing move
- You’re compromised. Come back to the light of reason.
