Seems like Oregon is another must win game

You really believe he'll be drafted don't you... 🤣
No I think he will play in the G league and have a 50/50 shot of playing in the NBA.

better than Romeo tho. I dunno what he is doing, maybe made sn on here talking to us?

A) I'm nervous Indiana could still get left out if they get run off the court Thursday, 2) I want that 20th win as an insurance polocy, and D) Anyone who puts the Bucknuts in ahead of us is a hack.

But aside from that MSU game, we have only 3 other good wins. And Penn State and OSU are only Q1 wins because they were away games. True, no bad losses either but that's putting a lot of weight on 4 games. We need another quality win IMO.
Heh. You know, if you disregard all the good things IU did this year, they look pretty bad.

OK, don't discount those two games then. We have 4 good wins all season. Bring Woodson back!
I certainly don't think we should bring Woodson back. I wouldn't have announced his departure mid-season, but the funny thing is if they hadn't done that, IU probably doesn't finish as well as they did. It freed Woodson up to make changes in the rotation that were obviously necessary.

Still, having 4 good wins and no losses in q2-4 with a top 25 schedule is what passes for a (poorly seeded) tournament team this year.

It's just funny to me when people say things like "if you ignore the good stuff, the bad stuff really sticks out!"

Hey, if you ignore the paint job, the speed, the handling, the engine, and the interior, that Lamborghini is really just an expensive gas guzzler.

Now, IU was not a Lamborghini this year. More like a Ford Aerostar. It wasn't pretty, and it didn't win the race, but also the wheels didn't fall off.

Um, I think I just said it wasnt pretty and we didn't win the race. Not sure I'm ignoring the bad stuff.

They weren't very good this year. Mgbako deserved way less minutes. Woodson's dogged commitment to bad lineups that couldn't defend on the perimeter was pretty painful. Better?

I’m agreeing with you. Just joking. I think you might have noticed that I liked your post.

How did Woodson's resignation announcement "free him" to try other/better lineups? What what preventing him from doing that earlier?

I suppose only he can answer that, but if you look at the 2nd half against Purdue at home, he finally went with 1 big, and Mgbako and Carlyle got 0 minutes. That was our best half of the year.

Hard to imagine Woodson sitting his cash cows like that earlier in the season.

I wonder if he brought a little too much of that NBA philosophy with him, where the dudes with the biggest paychecks have to play regardless of how well they play.

I mean, Leal gets starters minutes now. Woodson never used to let guys get upward mobility like that before he got retired.

Knight was happy to do that to make a point. Woodson seems like he finally said F it.

My bad. Got mixed signals and misunderstood.

Didn't coach Knight have a whole book about looking on the dim side? The power of negative thinking or something like that?

Not sure I agree, but surely an interesting perspective. I'm not a coach, so I have no need to whittle down egos. Probably depends on who you're managing.
