This squad is soft as hell. The coaching staff is clueless. We apparently peaked in the scrimmage in Knoxville. Players don't seem to care enough to go home early the night before a game.

If there has been improvement so far this season, I can't point it out.

Fire Woodson into the sun!

Someone on this board once commented that this team plays with the urgency of a practice pick-up game. I agree 100%, and that’s all at the feet of a coaching staff. Effort is horrible. How do I know? Look how the bench plays when they enter the game. They are so excited to play and they play with energy. When Langdon Hatton is player of the game discussion because of his effort, we have BIG PROBLEMS!

Asses need to meet benches at some point.

Rutger is gonna dog walk us at home if we play like we have been. From an article on hoosierillustrated.com

"Indiana was just 1-of-20 from three against Winthrop, bringing its total over the last five games to 24-of-107. In those games, IU has been outscored by 39 from three."

A program assessment and managerial decison should have been made at the end of last season. Just more of the same mismanangement from the "higher ups." It ain't working, and the fans can't stomach it anymore.
I missed the game again today. Aww shucks. Ballo sit out? 1-20 from three point range. Has to be an all time low for IU hoops?

I did not miss the game, I ignored it. That is a big difference.
I came here tonight to see what happened and the forum’s thoughts. I found myself slightly disappointed we won. I do not feel we can be proud of the program, have on field and off field success, and generate banners until Woodson is gone.

Just as in the pros...you can't sit your bankroll.....they have to be on the floor. Their value is in contract, not their PPG or rebounds. Just like the head coach....his value is his contract....nothing more.

At some point performance needs to matter, bankroll or not. If bench players are performing better, play the bench more.

NIL in fact is sponsors paying to use a players name, image, and likeness. It’s unconnected to playing time. If a player wants money *and* playing time, the latter still needs to be earned.

It seems to me that is what NIL was meant to be but now it is just pay to play and I see no reason why that money couldn't be tied to certain aspects of playing the game.
Such as, there would be a large penalty for not playing in a bowl game.

I agree conceptually players should have to play when they're healthy to get paid. But, a player's agent/attorney would not agree to a NIL contract tied to playing -- they would cite NCAA rules, probably some state laws, and that knowingly breaking the rules/laws would be damaging to the school.

That's NIL. Now the rev share is schools formally paying players to play. Those contracts will probably have aspects tied to playing. We'll know when people start FOIA'ing these contracts (they'll be able to for public schools) and we see the terms.
