Russia-Ukraine war has begun

We got another one here that is sucking up Russian propaganda.
I'll vouch for Toast on this one even though I don't agree with him. Though it won't mean much. I doubt it's propaganda based, he's well read, and is interested in facts. That alone separates him from the Putin shills on this board. Toast just has his own world view based on his experiences.

Russia's birth rate is below ours (but above Ukraine's). This war is going to stick with them for a very, very long time. They will have to deal with labor shortages and even a lower birth rate. The economic problem is already hitting as Russia has recently reduced what wounded soldiers receive in compensation. As time goes by, many will suffer PTSD and other ailments.

Ukraine will be in a worse position, but contrary to what seems to be a popular belief, Ukraine didn't attack Russia.

Well, no they're probably not being used much. What did we send them? 30?

It’s to make two points:

You can’t deliver different weaponry and expect impactful use without adequate training, tactics.

More importantly, tank relevance continues to deteriorate and is nearly an obsolete technology.

Agree 100% on both points, particularly the 2nd one, but only sending such a limited number isn't giving it much of a fair shot.

The Germans provided a lot more Leopard tanks. I don't know much about them, but I imagine they don't require the maintenance the Abrams do.

I saw a story last week that the last Leopard was knocked out in a counterattack in Kursk, the attack was successful. The article below mentions "a few" remaining in the same attack, so maybe the other story was wrong. Either way, this war is pure hell on tanks.

It's a SOF and drone war now. Tanks, APC's go poof. Russian AA go poof. Russian scooby doo vans, POOF. Russian 4 wheelers, POOF. Russian motorcycles, POOF.
WE are averaging ~1600 neutralized orchs a day.. POOF.
Need even more POOF. russian other ships need to be bottom feeders. All of them. All over the globe, poof.
Russia has shot their wad, now destroy the entire country while they nap after wad blowing. POOF !! THEY GONE !

Yep, it's a whole new ballgame with drones.

The job of drone operator is getting to be a dangerous ones Several reports of drone operators being captured and executed. The short range of some of these FPVs require them being close to the forward edge of the battle area.

Evidently the Bradleys are a lot more effective. More maneuverable with still having a lot of firepower.
