greatest team sport coach ever
It was "never about Indiana" for a relatively small number of what I have always called "Knight-o-philes"...non-grad fans that were fans of Knight but not really IU. I never knew they existed until after graduation when I began woring in the braoder marketplace.he left and forced people to take sides v IU, the mark of a very unstable, insecure man.
again: tim and karen were pawning T Tech crap on S Meridian during our 2002 F4 run, and our bumpkins were buying it up.
it was never about Indiana. it was about Bob Knight's Indiana. Great coach. Horribly flawed person. And a total bully.
Stop worshiping flawed boorish men, American men. Makes you less of a man. Stand up for the Neil Reeds, not pile on.
LOL. Imagine being such a bitter, insecure asshole that you can’t abide a single post on an internet message board praising an Indiana coaching legend near the anniversary of his DEATH without sticking your nose in it and slamming him, his family, and his fans. I pity you sir…he left and forced people to take sides v IU, the mark of a very unstable, insecure man.

From 1973-1994, I really do believe he was. Had a few bad bounces keeping him from one or twoTHE BEST!

Four more years and he is eligible for a memorial name, unless the trustees approve an exception to policy.Robert Montgomery Knight

What a game...Beating UNLV was the best of many great wins. I thought we nor anyone else could beat them in the tournament.
In case you're not aware, you can just scroll past a post you do not like and not comment about it, even if you are the saintly omniscient perfect human being you believe you are. You don't have to be a D.he left and forced people to take sides v IU, the mark of a very unstable, insecure man.

I have a sneaking suspicion you’re not a Trump supporter. Bitterness is generational, running in families of Democratic support.he left and forced people to take sides v IU, the mark of a very unstable, insecure man.

yep I watch that game on youtube once a year. Fn track meet, never thought RMK would decide to run with the runnin' Rebs, but it worked. What a game...

That UNLV team was a lot of fun to watch. When we played pickup ball I would shoot from the outside and yell, "Paddio".Beating UNLV was the best of many great wins. I thought we nor anyone else could beat them in the tournament.
Freddie Banks had something like 36 points 1 assist..That UNLV team was a lot of fun to watch. When we played pickup ball I would shoot from the outside and yell, "Paddio".
Lots of good players. Freddie was a very good one. I think Gilliam played over 10 yrs in the NBA.Freddie Banks had something like 36 points 1 assist..
And didn’t guard a soul the entire game.Freddie Banks had something like 36 points 1 assist..
The second reason IU beat UNLV IMHO. First being we had Bobby. And didn’t guard a soul the entire game.

The Chris Reynolds taking a charge against PSU on the road in 93 was, in my opinion, one of the greatest plays in IU basketball history. One of, if not the best piece of coaching I have ever seen.
Yes, but sadly, Chris missed his second free throw subsequent to the miraculous charging call, sending the game into overtime, which we lost. Had we won that game, it would have been, to this day, the last unblemished conference season. Instead, 17-1 still festers as a sore thumb might. The Chris Reynolds taking a charge against PSU on the road in 93 was, in my opinion, one of the greatest plays in IU basketball history.
But the UNLV game strategy was genius too.
