Seriously? What coach on that list would leave their comfortable spot to come to the IU coaching meat-grinder (Archie would make 5 fired HC's and 1 interim in 20 years)? I mean, if we are willing to cut bait with a guy like Miller, who is well respected and highly thought of after 2 seasons, other than a large pile of money and a challenge, what would bring them here?
Wright and Bennett already have comfy, well paying gigs at solid basketball schools. Under those circumstances (firing a fine coach after just 2 seasons) I can't see them considering coming here without doubling their pay (which would be 5-6 million a season), and even that might not be enough.
In Weber and Huggins, you have a 62 year old and 65 year old who won't be coaching anywhere 5-7 years from now. Weber's biggest success in the Big 10 was riding the coattails of Bill Self's recruits @ Illinois, and who was 61-61 in the Big 10 his final 7 years with the Illini. Huggins is a much better coach than Weber, but @ 65 he is @ his destination gig coaching his Alma Mater and is already making 500k more than Miller so he makes no sense.
Stevens/Donovan/Brinks truck scenarios are pie in the sky wishful thinking, as both are enjoying successful careers coaching @ the pinnacle of their profession.
So that leaves Beard, who is basically where Archie Miller was 2 years ago, except he is getting it done at a school and conference somewhere in between the ACC/Big 10/SEC level and the A10 that Archie left.
I don't see the rush to change TBH.
