Race is really coming on.
Race was playing good before getting hurt against MSU. Once healthy, he has been very valuable.
Brunk needs to sit down so Race can keep playing.
Yes it was clear before his injury that he was coming on strong. But this was the first game that he dominated. And it will be over shadowed by TJDs performance. They compliment each other well. Maybe it was matchup based but I’d love to see them keep growing off each other.
Agree. If they both keep improving they could be the best front court by a wide margin. Brunk has been down a bit, but he has given some great depth and we will miss Deron IMO. But those two and the consistency Smith has shown this year. Then add RS Freshman Hunter and wow. Nice front court. Need better guard play l, but the cupboard isn’t bare.
Lord knows, IU will need these two on the floor together, when they play Purdue!
Tonight it was TJD and Race, but it could be TJD and DeRon one of these nights.
TJD and anyone I suppose. He is gonna dominate the BIG next year. Or sooner
Williams and Hunter are purdue's best players. If they aren't making a high number of 3s against us, they lose and we win. I don't care where it is played
Race plays really smart at least compared to some of the other players we have seen. Down the stretch in the Minny game he had an opportunity to attack the basket in a transition situation when the defense was not set but smartly pulled back to allow the offense to set and run clock. You just know DG would of tried to make a wild lob pass in that situation.
Miller has said that they needed to play inside out all year. He didn’t “just figure it out,” in the good games this year they executed the plan.
And Jerome is also having stretches where he looks really good. I see a solid starting lineup with Davis, Thompson and Hunter next season. Hopefully, Phinisee will get back to the promise he showed early on last season.
