for maybe 6 more hours?? But hey, great effort. Galloway didn't win that one he might have just retired. He gave everything he had.
MR had his heart in this.for maybe 6 more hours?? But hey, great effort. Galloway didn't win that one he might have just retired. He gave everything he had.
We could lose out and Woody will still be back.Great they’ll win just enough games to save Woodson’s job, and the mediocrity and crap basketball will continue for another 2-3 seasons. Just take ‘em out back and end it already.
Sad but true.We could lose out and Woody will still be back.
We could lose out and Woody will still be back.
Tell Dakich to keep shooting off that big mouth of his.for maybe 6 more hours?? But hey, great effort. Galloway didn't win that one he might have just retired. He gave everything he had.
yes, for now they are 67. top 75 is quad 1Tell Dakich to keep shooting off that big mouth of his.
Was this actually a Q1 game for us tonight?
He ain’t going anywhere.Great they’ll win just enough games to save Woodson’s job, and the mediocrity and crap basketball will continue for another 2-3 seasons. Just take ‘em out back and end it already.
And mediocrity will continue at IU for the foreseeable future. Fantastic. Sub .500 basketball is such a joy to watch. He ain’t going anywhere.
Do they count them as they are played or based on end-of-season standings?yes, for now they are 67. top 75 is quad 1
The thing is…just run the team like he did the last 10 minutes…all the time…and he can be successful at IU. Demand that level of effort. Run that type of offense. He ain’t going anywhere.
Is what it is. If we lost every game the rest of the season, Woodson is still back next season. JMO.And mediocrity will continue at IU for the foreseeable future. Fantastic. Sub .500 basketball is such a joy to watch.
Go to the whiney bi*ch say something stupid about coaching thread .. this one is about a quad 1 road win.We could lose out and Woody will still be back.
end of the season, which I kinda like and kinda don't. Can't decide where I fall on that.Do they count them as they are played or based on end-of-season standings?
Dan Dakich will give Galloway credit. But I can see him asking, "why don't you give that kind of effort every game?"Tell Dakich to keep shooting off that big mouth of his.
Was this actually a Q1 game for us tonight?
Agree. I was in chapel hill for UNC / Clemson game. Clemson wins for the 2nd time in 61 attempts. Crazy. 2 wins in 61 tries. Dean Smith Center is such a better venue to watch a game. Does not hold the mystique of AH, but a great atmosphere nonetheless. The thing is…just run the team like he did the last 10 minutes…all the time…and he can be successful at IU. Demand that level of effort. Run that type of offense.
The main problem is we won’t consistently repeat it.
Exactly ... fwiw, he ran the same damn offense, the difference is the desire, competency and understanding of the players running it ..plus defense and OSU mistakes had something to do with it ..The thing is…just run the team like he did the last 10 minutes…all the time…and he can be successful at IU. Demand that level of effort. Run that type of offense.

you would have to think OSU will implode after that loss.end of the season, which I kinda like and kinda don't. Can't decide where I fall on that.
Yeah that's always the puzzler. They have examples of how hard they need to work, and the success when they do it, but they don't do it all the time. The thing is…just run the team like he did the last 10 minutes…all the time…and he can be successful at IU. Demand that level of effort. Run that type of offense.
The main problem is we won’t consistently repeat it.
Well then this will likely not last as a Q1 win. But still, give em credit for not folding when they were about to go down by 20. I still don’t see any chance to make the big dance, but our chances to be in the NIT just went up by several points.end of the season, which I kinda like and kinda don't. Can't decide where I fall on that.
I agree with that. It was a pretty bad deficit, but they pulled out a road conference win and that is what mattersMR had his heart in this.
MW has not lost his team
do you realize 99 percent of the people on here don't give a shit about DackitchDan Dakich will give Galloway credit. But I can see him asking, "why don't you give that kind of effort every game?"
I’m sure I’ve missed it, but I’m not sure I’ve seen us commit to the movement as consistently, for as long as we did to end the game tonight.Exactly ... fwiw, he ran the same damn offense, the difference is the desire, competency and understanding of the players running it ..plus defense and OSU mistakes had something to do with it ..
Did Dan give it every night?Dan Dakich will give Galloway credit. But I can see him asking, "why don't you give that kind of effort every game?"
When it goes in the play always looks better.. and Trey's tenacity and his constant movement had a lot to do with that.I’m sure I’ve missed it, but I’m not sure I’ve seen us commit to the movement as consistently, for as long as we did to end the game tonight.
There were also some other wrinkles I haven’t seen with Malik pinning his man off some post entry passes to Kelel.
Obviously Trey making some threes made a big difference too. But I contend that he probably makes those because the offense is moving him around more, and those shots came in more rhythm as a result.
Definitely. But we’ve had some really, really stagnant stretches recently…and throughout Woodys tenure. Treys 3s and Leals 3 made it look great tonight, for sure. But there was a lot more with Malik, and how we got him shots, how he was more active facing up and moving toward the basket, and how that helped him offensive rebound. When it goes in the play always looks better.. and Trey's tenacity and his constant movement had a lot to do with that.
top 75 of what Kenpom?yes, for now they are 67. top 75 is quad 1
He gave it against Virginia. Away.Did Dan give it every night?
You sure about that?do you realize 99 percent of the people on here don't give a shit about Dackitch
this offense seems to have more flow when there is only 1 big on the floor. Galloway done something weird tonight you rarely see he called for the screen, driving himself to the sideline. I think the play blew up every time he did itDefinitely. But we’ve had some really, really stagnant stretches recently…and throughout Woodys tenure. But there was a lot more with Malik, and how we got him shots, how he was more active facing up and moving toward the basket, and how that helped him offensive rebound.
I haven’t watched the games like a hawk recently like I usually do. But the purposeful movement seemed different in the 2nd half tonight.
I’m not likely here praising them nearly as much if Trey doesn’t make those shots though…you’re right.
yes I took a survey. You sure about that?
You started watching at the right time.My wife was so distraught that we watched, for about the first ten minutes of the second half, a rerun of The Bachelor...I will tell you the Canadian girl is not the bully, but I digress...
Caught the last ten minutes of the game...and our defensive intensity was great...Galloway and Malik have a lot of heart.
That is quite possibly the most painful play I've ever seen in basketball: literally cost IU a FF.He gave it against Virginia. Away.
Winning is a good thing. This Q1 win helps us increase our chances for the NIT!
