Quad 1 win!

My wife was so distraught that we watched, for about the first ten minutes of the second half, a rerun of The Bachelor...I will tell you the Canadian girl is not the bully, but I digress...

Caught the last ten minutes of the game...and our defensive intensity was great...Galloway and Malik have a lot of heart.

The thing is…just run the team like he did the last 10 minutes…all the time…and he can be successful at IU. Demand that level of effort. Run that type of offense.

The main problem is we won’t consistently repeat it.
Agree. I was in chapel hill for UNC / Clemson game. Clemson wins for the 2nd time in 61 attempts. Crazy. 2 wins in 61 tries. Dean Smith Center is such a better venue to watch a game. Does not hold the mystique of AH, but a great atmosphere nonetheless.

Exactly ... fwiw, he ran the same damn offense, the difference is the desire, competency and understanding of the players running it ..plus defense and OSU mistakes had something to do with it ..

Yeah that's always the puzzler. They have examples of how hard they need to work, and the success when they do it, but they don't do it all the time.

end of the season, which I kinda like and kinda don't. Can't decide where I fall on that.
Well then this will likely not last as a Q1 win. But still, give em credit for not folding when they were about to go down by 20. I still don’t see any chance to make the big dance, but our chances to be in the NIT just went up by several points.

I’m sure I’ve missed it, but I’m not sure I’ve seen us commit to the movement as consistently, for as long as we did to end the game tonight.

There were also some other wrinkles I haven’t seen with Malik pinning his man off some post entry passes to Kelel.

Obviously Trey making some threes made a big difference too. But I contend that he probably makes those because the offense is moving him around more, and those shots came in more rhythm as a result.

When it goes in the play always looks better.. and Trey's tenacity and his constant movement had a lot to do with that.

Woodson went with our top four, and Leal. That top four can probably play with most good teams.

Another game where we were playing decent, a little flat, he puts the scrubs in and the other team goes on a huge run. How many times has that happened this year? 22 of 23 games?

Definitely. But we’ve had some really, really stagnant stretches recently…and throughout Woodys tenure. Treys 3s and Leals 3 made it look great tonight, for sure. But there was a lot more with Malik, and how we got him shots, how he was more active facing up and moving toward the basket, and how that helped him offensive rebound.

I haven’t watched the games like a hawk recently like I usually do. But the purposeful movement seemed different in the 2nd half tonight.

I’m not likely here praising them nearly as much if Trey doesn’t make those shots though…you’re right.

this offense seems to have more flow when there is only 1 big on the floor. Galloway done something weird tonight you rarely see he called for the screen, driving himself to the sideline. I think the play blew up every time he did it
