When was the last time they should have got props? When was the last time they over achieved?
When was the last time Purdue won the NCAA Tournament? They are irrelevant nationally.
When one wants to be in the spotlight be prepared to take the
criticism as well as the praise. I do not recall Bill Orwig ever
focusing the spotlight on himself and it was good.
The last time they overachieved was this year. Preseason expectations were in the 6-9th in the B1G. They tied for first and made the E8 in the tourney. That strikes me as exceeding expectations of experts by a considerable degree.

While true, that does absolutely nothing to alter the fact that the team clearly overachieved. It seems as if everyone else but you recognizes that they did. I get that you hate Purdue but you need to recognize reality on occasion.
My arrogant Purdue co-workers total hunger to achieve validity to the point of total hate and jealousy of IU and any school that has won National Titles has soured me on Purdue. Their out of control passion for Purdue, telling me they rooted for the USSR over IU, and openly root for injuries to IU players so they can win every rivalry game. My first College Basketball hero was Rick Mount of Purdue. Now, i just get disgusted when any player that I like goes there, WL is like a black hole of jealousy, hate, and unhappiness. Purdue fans are actually more bitter than the Kentucky fans that I know. Too many years of PU choke frustration has boiled over into a hunger to win that now goes too far as destroying other people's property.

That's just inaccurate. Purdue was one of 3 Big Ten teams who were preseason nationally ranked. Who picked Purdue to finish between 6-9 in conference?

I don't know which one of the bitter PU fans are doing it, so i just don't bring anything IU to work anymore because I don't want it destroyed. Yet they have their cubicles all decorated in PU posters, pennants, bobbleheads, and helmets.
I have a couple of employees who are Purdue grads. A fairly new employee who graduated from Purdue in his mid-20s carriers around a coffee mug with a picture of Jon Octeus dunking on Collin Hartman and treats it like his pet. Above the Keurig is a picture of Assembly Hall with the banners hanging in the background. A picture is really worth a 1000 words.
FYI, Jon Rothstein picked them ninth in the B1G for this past season. The Daily Hoosier did as well. 247 had a tie for 5th. Three-Man weave was 5th. Sporting News was 6th. CBSSports (multiple analysts) were: 5th,6th,7th 8th, 9th. Btpowerhouse.com placed them 8th.
I am not aware of any analyst picking above 3rd, and most quite a bit below as indicated. A tie for 1st is clearly exceeding expectations.
Take it to the PU board. If you are looking rub it in our face, you are succeeding. You keep looking for acknowledgement of overachievement. Then must also acknowledge that PU fell short once again.
I don't understand why you have trouble comprehending this. I am not attempting to rub something in your face. I am correcting a misstatement that you made. I do not need your acknowledgement of simple reality; I already know what that reality is. According to any preseason prediction, Purdue exceeded it. That means that they overachieved.
If by your definition, not winning the NC is falling short, then they did. However, that would also be true for the other 343 or so teams. While I would have been pleased to see them advance further, they were a fun team to watch and had, at least according to many people, a very good season. Finishing in the Top 8 in the country is hardly a bad thing. Not everyone agrees with your definition of falling short.
As for your office problem, I would strongly suggest that you write to HR and notify them of what is happening to you. It is likely that they would put out a memo explaining clearly that there would be severe consequences to anyone destroying the personal property of a co-worker. You should also try to document by photo any such destruction. That might go a long way to solving the issue that obviously bothers you a lot.
Isn't it a violation of legal ethics to behave in an unprofessional manner and give intentionally bad advice in a public forum? I would think that a real lawyer would be aware of the ethical canon.
