Glass half full vibes. Just a few from me, please add yours,

1. Playing a top 10 Louisville team to essentially a coinflip win or loss.

2. Hanging tough verse top 5 Ohio St. in the first half, having a chance to take a lead into half time if I recall correctly.

3. Margin of Loss and overall defensive play verse Ohio St.

4. Dominating top 5 Michigan for a quarter and a half having a legit chance to take a lead into the half.

5. Playing a top 10 Penn St. on the road to essentially a coinflip win or loss.

6. Beating a Wisconsin team that is near the top of the Big Ten West.

7. Having noticeable and tangible momentum and vibes in November when IUBB begins.

I'll add a few:

8. Sustained and noticeable improvement by the offense following the bye week—more needed.

9. After two consecutive strong outings by the team, there appears to be a growing belief and chemistry.

10. Rod Carey replaced Walt Bell. I am much less sanguine about being blown out by Michigan.

11. The staff's recruiting efforts the last couple years bearing fruit. Our top receiver is out, but there is quality depth behind him. There is quality depth at RB. Noah Pierre goes out, his replacement is a difference maker in the next game.

12. Play calling seems much more varied and less predictable. No clue if this is reality, but it seems like we're converting 3rd downs at a better clip because of it.

19. Compared to the past two seasons, the team is relatively healthy….
- Bedford will play Sat. … OL had losses but still healthier than last season, and is a leader in sacks allowed.
- A full complement of talented WRs will start (Williams, Carter, McCulley)
- The season’s starting QB is still playing. (Grant Gremel leads his current team in passing yds.)
- Season’s starting LBs are all still on the field.
- There is still enough DL, LB, and DB depth to give guys a blow.

IU is playing better now, the past two weeks, than in midseason.
The secondary has shined at different times with new DBs
James has been a great punter this year
No blocked punts lately
55yd FG to win the game against Wisconsin
The play versus PSU taking their crowd out of the game

Oh I think Rutgers got one blocked punt … but it hasn’t been repeated.
I think we can jump on the Illini and get their crowd out of it, too.

you are right about Rutgers blocking a punt; just another reason I wonder about Teegardin coaching STs.
