Politico: Roe to be overturned per draft opinion

The country needs to be split up into 3 regional groupings for it to be functional again. West, Central and Eastern regions. Like an EU super-grouping.

It's already voting like that.

Has just outgrown its 50 state-federated system. It's all gridlock now. And with no accountability.
It is anachronistic.
That was tried in 1861 - 1865.

Would never work/happen but agree with you there's some marked divisions that are going to be hard to bridge. I don't know if they've always been there and have simply been amplified with media/social media or we're growing apart

Because half the country can't tell the difference between a man and a woman.

Gender issues should tell you everything you need to know that one side has lost their minds.

Its just the maturing of a society/economy. You have lots of 'friends' as a kid but as you age you usually have fewer and fewer friends. Either you have become more discerning or you rather spend what little free time you have with people who you get along with or who have similar lifestyles, value systems etc.

For me the bigger issue to the gridlock and the lack of accountability.

Super large companies start to fall apart when they get too big. (I have worked in some which are 400,000 employees.)
Smaller ones are more nimble to react to changes. Its no different to countries.

Right. Drive or fly to California, murder the baby, and then hit the beach.
Murder the baby and hit the beach. Yessir that’s exactly what women do. And you know desperate women can all certainly afford to hop on a plane. All this will do is lead to back alley abortions again and women will die. It won’t stop abortions .

Actually, that's called court packing. Stacking would be the better term for what McConnell did.
I've always heard stacking and packing used interchangeably

If that's not the case, then my apologies. I believe them to be the same thing.

Abortion is not being outlawed, love. Calm down.

Of course. We have become a lawless society. If you don’t get your way, or don’t like a ruling, you riot. Violence is the modern language.
Exactly just ask the January 6 gang. Didn’t like the election results so committed violence and stormed the capitol. Repugnant. Lawless.

Leaking this sort of thing is a big scandal.

How many people even have access to the document (barring a hack)? I can't imagine more than a couple dozen. If leaking it is not a crime it should be. Trying to influence this decision would be like trying to overturn an election (tongue only slightly in cheek).

I'm sure there could be some statute they could apply, but I really don't think there's anything criminal about the leak.

You apparently didn't follow along

When Obama tried, gop said you can't appoint one during an election year.

Low and behold, they allowed Trump to appoint one weeks before the election.

So yes, they stacked the court with their bull shit
You really are this stupid aren't you?

Oh, a kid will be poor, so let's kill him.

Great logic.

If you think the majority approve of the 'right to choose', you should be thrilled that the decsion will go to the states, where they can make it law.
Oh it’s quite clear lawmakers could care less what people actually want. Well one party of lawmakers. For example, they could care less that 90% of the public is for more stringent background check for gun laws. They don’t care that a majority of people support a right to choice.

Well if she got too drunk and became pregnant she was raped. Not that I expect you would care.

You would probably be there holding her hand telling her it was God's Will she became pregnant while drunk raped.
Too drunk? Define that vs drunk enough to make bad decisions? I don't really have much feelings one way or the other on this issue but I hate stupid liberals and their dumbass thought process.

Tell me this. Why should an irresponsible person be able to have the brains sucked out of a baby just because she (or he now, I am told) got too drunk one night, or finds it's an inconvenient time to have a child?
Oh more good stuff. You guys love the hyperbole, don’t you? Love sucking brains out of babies!!!

Majority of the land favors a right to choose, but as usual the far right wackos are now in charge.

You all do such a great job supporting kids right up until they're born. Then it's pull yourself up by your bootstraps time.
The majority are OK with abortion in the first trimester and then favor increasing restrictions after that and the majority oppose abortion in the third trimester. This is where I am too. Elected Democrats have hurt their position over the years by supporting abortion on demand to the minute before birth in vote after vote on late-term abortion restrictions. That’s not where most Democrats or Americans are. I also think elected Republicans hurt their case when they oppose any and all abortions, even in the first trimester and in the cases of rape and incest.

Your second paragraph is total liberal Democratic jingoism with no basis.

You’re the ones that don’t care about poor kids once they are born. Vote against every single possible solution and never even attempt to come up with one of your own. Pull yourself up from your bootstraps!

Women can speak for themselves. They can choose to have sex or not. 97% of abortions are a choice, not from rape or incest. Again, women can choose not to have sex.
Hey guess what? Men can too. And if they did, women wouldn’t need abortions. Novel idea, eh? Or, get this, men could wear a condom!!! And then women wouldn’t need abortions. So just be more responsible and men won’t have to worry one bit about the results.

I'm far from liberal so please stop with the labels. I won't speak for other men, but in my college days more than once I avoided sex with a drunk coed. I don't have a definition of what too drink is, but I knew it when I saw it.

I hope someone would have the same respect for my teen daughter.

I don't think that's necessarily so (BICBW). Granted, it would usually go to the senior Justice, but I don't think that's a hard and fast rule. There's no fvcking way Thomas doesn't vote to overturn Roe.
The senior justice in the majority assigns the opinion, but doesn't necessarily write it himself. However, as justices are allowed to change their votes, and can eventually choose to not sign off on a particular opinion, what was intended to be the majority opinion when it was assigned may eventually not actually be one. See the Obamacare case, in which the unsigned joint dissent was almost certainly originally the assigned (intended) majority opinion until Roberts changed his mind.

You know there is a really, really simple way to avoid this being an issue don't you? Doctors have determined what causes pregnancy , you do know this right?
