Please decline NIT bid.

We haven’t been that for awhile. We’ve lost so many games at AH the last few years that I’ve stopped counting. Students don’t come and the balcony’s are empty for conference game. Why would you think AH would be half full for an NIT game vs Loyola?

Fred has a surplus of hotdogs he needs to sell for 2019....so schedule that NIT game!

We don’t want a repeat of the 2005 NIT home game against Vanderbilt. That atmosphere sucked. No one wants to watch IU play in the JV tournament.
The thing you don't understand is playing in the NIT would not be for the fans but for the future of the program.
If you don't want to watch them then DON'T. But then also don't come running back next year when the team is better due to playing in the NIT

What makes you think they would b successful in the NIT? Most likely they lose their first or second game. You people just don’t learn do you

I think he was saying that you accept the NIT for players that could be important for next year. The Thompsons, Forresters, etc. You practice and you play. Romeo for 32 minutes...maybe not. But you still accept the bid.

No need to carry on with this season. Let Romeo go on his way. Hope for some miracle change of direction for program in off season. Put a bow on it and move on.
1st of all, what makes you so certain we'll get an NIT bid? Yeah, we may, but at 17-15, it ain't a lock. Regardless though, it's never a good time to give up. No matter what. We're in a remarkable slump for the B-ball program, seems more like a voodoo curse at times, when things can go good or bad, seems they always go bad. It certainly looks like our own fault most of the time though! Just have to improve. That's it. Work, work, work. There's no substitute.

WE are a #1 seed for NIT right now

&...how would you know that?

HIs pink iMac told him so...

Like Indiana is going to accept an NIT offer, let alone play at HOME against a crowd that has turned on the program.

Hard pass.

Serious question: does the men's NIT do that bit with bidding for the home court like they did with the women last year? Fred ponied up for them.

The first four out according to the selection committee get automatic #1 seeds in the NIT. Most bracketologists have IU in that group.

I would think they're definite high seed NIT, but do they do any damage … guessing no, there's no point unless further humiliation is the goal. Romeo, Morgan, dumbass Fitzner should sit if there's anything to be gained

We should play in the NIT to win it. RMK wasn't above playing in it and winning it. We should also, where possible without losing, play next year's guys; give them a lot of time without Romeo and Juwan if possible. And if guys don't come to play, bench them.

We want you to transfer, otherwise I’d like to see the team, coach and players improve. Most fans want to see players and coaches succeed. Of course I can’t imagine what a highly successful, intelligent, PhD such as yourself may want.
Improve like Clifton Moore did and Damezi? Yea no thanks

PhD?!? I call BS on that.

Declining the NIT would get IU laughed at bad. By doing that it makes it seem IU is "above it" and thats just not the kind of PR hit we need. The NIT is like watered down coke but at least it's one more game. Either way I'm still disappointed were not going to play in the NCAAs.

Bet IU goes deeper into March than PU....
Probably, Purdue should win 1 game, after that is gets sketchy, IU if they host the NIT very well could go to New York City. A few years back, Ky played in it, the NIT is a fun tournament, if IU doesn't sneak into the dance they without a doubt should play in it. Also, if Romeo doesn't want to play in it so be it, play Anderson or Forrester.
