Indiana: There's no fluke. Through half of the college football regular season, Indiana is ahead of Ohio State in the Big Ten standings. The Hoosiers are 3-0 in Big Ten play and have won every game by at least two touchdowns, including a road trip to Northwestern on Oct. 5. The first big test comes this week as the Hoosiers host Nebraska in a marquee noon matchup. If Indiana wins big, the schedule gets interesting. No. 24 Michigan doesn't look scary without a passing game. Purdue, Washington and Michigan State are middle- or bottom-tier teams. It's really that one game against Ohio State. And hey, if Ohio State or Penn State lose another game along the way, 11-1 could still be enough to reach Indianapolis.

My best case thoughts before yesterday was an IU OSU rematch with two Ore BiG losses.

Bucks beat themselves at Ore. Especially considering the offensive PI that took away a key FD.

I’m surprised that Jerry Palm has anything nice to say about IU at all. He’s normally pretty biased,against IU, even if his numbers tell him something differently.
If anybody knows anything about Palm, he is the biggest epitome of Purdue geekdom that there is. From Chicago area. A math champion of some sort. Took like 6 math classes at PU in one.semester. Was a member 9( their Marching Band. He indicates that he was an All-American band member (I didn’t know that they did this at all). Computer Science major at PU. 1985 graduate. His father, and then Jerry himself, held the position of President of the Chicago Purdue Alumni club.
He’s hardcore Purdue.
