At 6’2”, squatting has always been a problem for me. As I got older and did some research I found out that back squats are terrible for taller people.

Now I stick to goblet squats and go ATG. Much better. 90lb dumbbell for 3 sets of 10 gets the blood pumping. Much easier to keep form with a goblet squat over a heavy back squat. Back squats are for short kings.
I haven’t done a single leg weight since college

It hasn't helped yours.
Hang on, Ranger is a good dude. He doesn't understand that I try to bring some fun here, and have the EVER SO OFTEN (like almost never) drunken apocalypse style post, but he's a good feller! He got a swipe in, and that's only fair, since his buddy has really red ass cheeks . lately.

Are black pants acceptable for something like these.?..

(Earth color)

No you can’t wear merrells. No matter how comfy. Unless you’re just totally checked out

No dude. Jesus.

Y'all are missing out. I have an older version of the Moab waterproof slip-ons. Just think about a nice warm slip-on with traction of a hiking shoe that goes with both brown, black, grey, etc. pants. Then when you want to take a hike on your lunch break in the cold, snowy weather, guess what, you're ready to go.

Is it time to move on to belts?

That’s a mistake. Working your legs practically doubles as cardio and the gains legit ripple through your entire body. It all starts with the legs.
i read Starting Strength at 35 and it was one of the best reads I'd had in a while.

“There is simply no other exercise, and certainly no machine, that produces the level of central nervous system activity, improved balance and coordination, skeletal loading and bone density enhancement, muscular stimulation and growth, connective tissue stress and strength, psychological demand and toughness, and overall systemic conditioning than the correctly performed full squat.”
― Mark Rippetoe, Starting Strength

“Squatting' in a Smith machine is an oxymoron. A Smith machine is not a squat rack, no matter what the girls at the front desk tell you. A squat cannot be performed on a Smith machine any more than it can be performed in a small closet with a hamster. Sorry. There is a gigantic difference between a machine that makes the bar path vertical for you and a squat that is executed correctly enough to have a vertical bar path. The job of keeping the bar path vertical should be done by the muscles, skeleton, and nervous system, not by grease fittings, rails, and floor bolts.”
― Mark Rippetoe, Starting Strength: Basic Barbell Training

“Physical strength is the most important thing in life. This is true whether we want it to be or not.”

I fully agree with his last point. And for short kings like him I agree re the back squat.

I’m just too tall. It turns into a Good Morning exercise if I go heavy.

Save kids playing soccer has been more important to me than anything. It’s my fun. My friends. My therapy. The only thing I’ve ever been good at. I’ve been too afraid of getting hurt doing squats etc

Nope, driven one. Same size as a Ford Ranger.

Gonna be a LOT of 80k trucks (new) being sold for 30k used with 20k miles on them before too long. Talk about being over your skis.

And don't get me started on EV SUVs and shit. Lord. At least be hybrid.

Buildings on Pepperdine’s campus are constructed with fire-resistant materials and the landscaping features fire-resistant plants. Additionally, the university says it ensures brush and other potential fuel for wildfires is cleared at least 200 feet from campus buildings each year, creating firebreaks.

“Our buildings feature fire-resistant materials and irrigation systems that protect the surrounding landscape. Additionally, we maintain defensible space around campus structures and have dedicated water reservoirs for firefighting,” Friel said.

The Payson Library and Tyler Campus Center are located in the center of campus and are equipped with electricity, food, water and medical supplies, he added.

“Our campus, thoughtfully designed and maintained with fire safety in mind, has proven to be a secure place for our community during wildfires affecting the Malibu campus,” Pepperdine President Jim Gash said in statement Tuesday.
Pretty cool.

The color of your belt is irrelevant when you are wearing a fanny pack with those shoes.

**Sigh**

That’s not a black suit. It’s charcoal gray. Brown is perfectly acceptable with all grays.

CoH University is going to have to add a class on timeless style. 3 credits.

And not only can I pull that off, I have pulled it off. Many, many times.
That’s a black suit dude. Not charcoal gray.

Light brown shoes go baller with black.

I will add I have a bag almost exactly like that that I love. I don’t ever see people carrying those anymore. I have four or five bags I love. I take a backpack to the office
I have a Filson tin cloth canvas bag that I’ll be cremated with. It’s the greatest bag I’ve ever owned.

Edit and my guy is rocking dark jeans with brown shoes.
