I have disappointing news regarding seating for those of us who continue to donate money to the athletic department thinking this will assist us in improving our seats for the upcoming season.
In spite of continued advertisements to the contrary, Memorial Stadium will NOT be re-seated this upcoming season based on the Priority Points system. (aka your seats this year will almost certainly not change no matter your level of donation).
I for one wish the Athletic Dept. would man up and simply admit that they want to have their cake and eat it too - they don't want to agitate long time season ticket holders who DON'T donate but want to continue taking money from people who DO donate.
They know that if the only benefit of donating was the tax credit and/or the good of the student athlete then donations would decrease significantly.
We hold coaches and athletes to a standard of honesty and integrity. Too bad the athletic department administrators are held to that same standard.
