That's impressive. A 5 hour 1/2 Ironman is nothing to sneeze at - even more so for someone who has been through what he has. I was really curious what they meant by losing his capacity to breathe by 70%. Article below explains it (sort of). The fact that he has significantly reduced breathing capacity AND once weighed over 400 pounds makes this all the more remarkable.
