They were given admin access to to databases on government employees. That would include health info, social security numbers, etc. they would not need that to just look at performance reviews. What do you mean by "accessing unheard of power." Be specific. I've read this in opinion pieces but don't know what it refers to.
They have emailed sensitive data unencrypted. I have not seen if the person has been fired or sanctioned.
The guy that was fired, then rehired, for racist posts had write permissions on sensitive servers that the White House said did not have write.

The US Treasury Claimed DOGE Technologist Didn’t Have ‘Write Access’ When He Actually Did
Sources tell WIRED that the ability of DOGE’s Marko Elez to alter code controlling trillions in federal spending was rescinded days after US Treasury and White House officials said it didn’t exist.
Ready, fire, aim allows people to screw up. Either accidentally releasing critical data, or intentionally. Either way, wouldn't Musk have responsibility? If he were this super genius, shouldn't this be carried out with a plan and safeguards?
If Aloha accidentally emailed critical data, he would have been sanctioned. If he oversaw people having the wrong access, emailing sensitive data, etc, it would have reflected on his management of employees
Musk threatens to sue everyone. He threatened to sue corporations that stopped advertising on Twitter. That is crazy stuff. Why assume he needs no safeguards?
