Offseason Hype Media

number 1 looks like Rob Phinisee, seems like he was here 20 years ago but hasn't been gone long at all, he will always have the Purdue game his 1 shining moment.

I had a tick on my nuts once when I was young. Not a great experience having your mom remove a tick from your nutsack. I hate ticks.
I remember my mom dabbing fingernail polish on my chigger-infested scrotum.

“Those were the days, yes, they were.” ~ Cream

At my step daughter-in-law’s home wedding, the photographer was a friend of hers who went to the same Bloomington church and was apparently unfamiliar with chigger bites. As my wife and I were leaving the reception, my wife complained to me about her chiggar bites, saying, “Those damn chiggars!”. Well, the door behind us had been left open and the photographer overheard her, letting out a loud, “EXCUSE ME?”. They haven’t spoken since, being the misunderstanding that it was, triggered by the “chigger”.

Your average would be 33 minutes/game since you appeared in only one game. If you come back for the last game of the season and play the last 3 minutes in a blowout, your average would be 18 minutes/game since you appeared in two games. I'm on cup #5.

Guess that makes sense from looking at box scores... I'm old.

It is how MPG is calculated (a player has to enter a game for their MPG to be impacted).
That being said I don’t think it makes sense. As an example it looks as though Bank’s departure opened up nearly 11 MPG but he didn’t play in 12 games. When you divide his total minutes by the number of IU games he only averaged 6 1/2 minutes a game. The official MPG stat is kind of goofy.

Yeah, just in thinking about it, I assumed it would be just total minutes played divided by games (or at least games available), but when I looked it up I then did see and recall how its actually kept. And it is strange when you think about it.

I need to build up about 8-10 feet on the dam area. ;)
My buddy down around Tell City built a nice 3 acre pond on his property. Had a small pond and spring and built up a dam. Really great little pond/lake and full of nice bass, bream, catfish and crappie.

He had the land and the topography was pretty much perfect. I think the dam was all he really had to add. Think maybe he dug out some of the opposite end and made a little island. He built a nice dock with a roof over one part. Great place to hang out, swim and fish!

My mother bought this stuff that I had to put on and it was like burning napalm on my sack. I hate those little bas$&*d chiggers.

Anyone know how much southern Indiana deforestation Cav did this summer?
I don't know, but there's a 4000 acre solar farm being built in southern Cass county right now that is ugleeee. The drive to my folk's house isn't going to look the same or even similar any longer.

Some guys pick up a chain saw and they just can’t put it down.

4000 acres??

I knew it was big but 4000! That is over 6 square miles!

How old is the pond?
We found out that crappie in a small pond is a BAD idea.
I hope he has better luck.

What happened?
Crappie are voracious. They'll eat everything in a small pond, crashing the population and everything else with them. That's assuming it's a deep enough pond for them to overwinter.

Sorry. My dad told me 4,000 acres, but it's "only" 2,000.

A couple sticks of dynamite will show the little b@#$&rds.

I would have thought largemouth would keep them in check.

Still, I know it goes from west of 35 to east of Cass Station but 2000 acres, WOW.

You must be from there. Nobody else would call it by the local Cass Station Rd, instead of 600E.

I was told there is also some of it on the other side of 35, but I haven't driven any further south to look.

What happened?

Crappies overpopulate IN A HURRY. They eat the fry of other fish and are voracious.
Our pond was a little bigger than that and some Ahole thought he would help us out and put crappies in there.
IIRC, within 10 years or less, the pond went from VERY healthy to almost nothing but crappies.
We used to catch 8-9 inch bluegill as fast as my son could real in - GONE
My son caught a 23 1/2" bass and I think they are gone.
Towards the end, all you could catch was stunted growth crappie that you could almost see through.
I talked to a state fish biologist and he said that crappies are the WORST fish you can put in a small pond.

I didn't see your response on the crappie or less I wouldn't have chimed it because it was spot on!

Yep, live just down the road from what was Ted Kitchel's childhood home.

I didn't even know it was 600E! :D
I know right where you are then. I grew up about 10 miles north of you on 600E, where it isn't called Cass Station Rd.

I only know it as 600E because 15 or so years ago, I was trying to give my wife directions from down here to my folk's house, and it's not Cass Station on any map or sign. LOL

All projects I’ve seen in Indiana have done minimal clearing. If they didn’t the farmer would have. Just squaring off pieces of land. Farmers in Indiana do that every year.

Can someone please get ahold of jockitch? Hes going after the players again. Especially Rice. God I can’t stand him. I know he’s been reduced to being a clickbait kardashian type…but still.

Actually I was referring to you writing about murdering the poor defenceless trees on your farm. :)

Too bad you can’t spray paint IU logos on all the solar panels to cheer things up.

Probably get you fired.

Vowing to not watch anymore hype videos until IU has won something: BT, BTT or NC.
Glad you and yours made it through the storm. I have a hard time imagining the whole scenario with the plastics factory but if you gotta put food on the table and your boss tells you to stay…
