I cringe to chime in on the Cooler but thought I would share a story. I was in San Antonio last month (actually the day of the Uvalde shooting, at a customer site who ended up responding to the event). That night I checked on the United app for my early (0630 depart) flying from SAN back to Ohare. I was in the Econ plus section in the front of coach, and two thirds of the seats up front were still open when I checked in on line, around 10pm. The next morning when I got to the gate I could not believe how packed the area was, for a flight that was only half full last night. A local guy told me that our US Govt is buying up the empty seats late at night, and sneaking immigrants on these planes, bound for various destinations (in this case, Chicago). When I sat down in my seat on the plane, I was surrounded by people who spoke no English, all had the same cell phones and carrying manilla folders with papers in them. The guy next to me recorded most of the flight out the window, even recorded his walk off the plane onto the jetway.
The local guy I was speaking to before the flight said this has been going on for a while. They tried doing it during the day but the local press caught on and started showing up at the airport, so now it's happening with the first flight out each morning.
Connect whatever dots you choose to connect from this. But something is happening and it's much larger than just a handful of people hiding in a truck. This was but one flight, from one airport, on one particular day.
