Good Purdue deserves it. hopefully they get a decent seed considering the BIG is putrid this year.

Goes to show what a good coach can mean to a program. Wisconsin's run is over. Back to the pack.

Good for Purdue!... Good for Marquette... Esp with Luke Fischer... Kid saw the writing on the wall....

Always a good Thursday when stinkin' Wiskyburg goes down.
I watched the game. OSU came out with a strong double team defense against Wisky's bigs and I was surprised that Wisky didn't adjust to it and get open 3 point looks. Wisky looked very flat and I wonder if they have hit the wall. If OSU plays like they did last night against IU, we will get beat badly but they haven't been very consistent so who knows.

First of all, I like the way Wisconsin plays the game, so I tend to root for Badgers when our fate is not affected by the outcome of their game (and unless they slide to the bottom with us battling it out for 12th place, their outcomes don't affect us much).

Secondly, I don't care if it's Team ISIS coached by Kim Jong Un, if it keeps the Boilies out of first place I'm rooting for the Axis of Evil.

Well done! Made me laugh. You sir are a good IU fan, and I expect nothing less than you wanting all PU teams (varsity or club sports) to go zero for infinity. Though I'd want IU to literally kill Team ISIS, but I commiserate with you on the rivalry. Those "I root for both PU and IU" people are alien to me. Better days (much better) are around the corner for you IU faithful. Maybe not next year, but soon we can all have fun together reminiscing about Tommy boy and his...peculiarities.

Thank you. Purdue is a fine institution (in spite of the current President) and I have a number of close friends and relatives who are alums. But when it comes to the sports rivalry, I can't see myself ever rooting for a Boilermaker team. When they play Notre Dame, O$U, or Kentucky, I just root for scoreless ties.

As for Tommy, I hope the reminiscing begins soon.

Congrats on your apparent B10 title championship. Purdue played tough at PSU and unlike the current Hoosier squad has done here of late, didn't wilt in the final minutes.

Thanks for the kind words but we're not out of the woods yet. I'll feel much better if we can win in Ann Arbor this weekend.

Without delving too deeply into politics, notmyman Mitch (along with his corrupt little minion Tony Bennett) have inflicted a lot of stress and financial harm on me and members of my family stretching from his days locking the stockholders out of the sale of IPL (where he made himself a tidy fortune) to his days trying to destroy public education in Indiana. If I ever catch him alone anywhere, I will take whatever prison time comes with the opportunity to beat the shit out of him. I might even take his combover as a scalp. I'm glad he is at least in a position to do me no further harm. The one place you won't find me is West Laffy.

Are kidding me? You do know that IU and Purdue are currently tied for first with 22 Big Ten Championships each, don't you? The last thing I want is for PU to be on top of us and to win a NCAA Championship. With some luck, they could do it this year and that would be hell to live with for true IU fans.

You won't hear any negative remarks from me should PU miraculously win a national title, but I have no doubt the pent up comeuppance will tidal wave the IU fan base from the Purdue side should it happen. Decades of having banner talk rubbed in our faces makes for chapped skin.

No offense but I'm not going to lose any sleep over that scenario regarding this particular Purdue team . Ain't happening.

I sleep well every night knowing that 5 tops 1 every day of the week. In fact, for the rest of my life, Purdue will never have more NCAA Championship banners than IU and that is a pleasant thought on which to close each day. I turned 66 earlier this month.

I am 42, just once before I die I want to know what it feels like for my alma mater to win a men's BB or FB championship. Odds are very remote it happens (especially in FB), but a boy can dream.

I found a picture of your dad. Looks like he stopped walking after the fourth grade.

I've lived through three of 'em and it's been 30 years since the last one. Each one gets a little sweeter than the one before, or at least that's how I remember it.

I was talking about some of the other posters actually. Love to know how many IU fans actually remember the last National Championship. At some point it becomes ancient history.

For all you Wiskyburg fans out there, Buckyville got hammered by Belling at WISN radio yesterday for tanking at O$U and playing like the "snowflakes" they are at UW in the socialist republic of Madison. Belling said this group of "snowflakes" have been too concerned about wearing their "Obama" t-shirts in celebration of February, BK can't wait to find a microphone to celebrate the anarchist in North Dakota and NH is always ready to tell everyone and anyone how oppressed he is at UW. I loved it. Always a good day with Bucky goes down in burning flames. Finally, NV being a Marquette fan? Wow. You need to see your priest and pay a few thousand in "indulgence tax" for that one.

You are one strange person- did someone from Wisconsin hurt you as a child? Obviously, most colleges are very liberal. Do you think Wisconsin is any different than IU in that regard? I'm not a liberal by the way, but you are looking like an absolute weirdo in this thread.
