The media is pushing the narrative, not IU. Same with Brownell.
Thank you GT. Finally someone who seems to understand. The “media” just wants to be the first to say they were right. Why would Dolson even care what their thoughts are. Just like when Cignetti set it straight that he wasn’t promoting the past JMU coach.

If Brownell is the choice I suspect we will be in the same situation in 5 years. I cannot believe IU is unable to find an elite coach with our resources in a basketball loving state. It boggles the mind. We could have had May or Beard possibly TJ or McCollum. Dolson got lucky with Cignetti. Even a blind squirrel stumbles on a nut occasionally.
You are just like Kentucky fans. They think they can get ANY elite coach they want. That is just not the case. Do you consider Pope and elite coach? We may get an elite coach but it is not that easy or guaranteed. It would be due to Dolson's hard work.
Also, it was NOT just luck that Dolson was able to get Cignetti. He put in his due diligence and research to find the best possible candidate that met the criteria that he was looking for,

But.... Cignetti was a proven winner. Brownwell is a winner what, 26% of the time. If you count making the tourney as winning.
