NCSOS UNC 7, IU 133

I posted this in another thread: “The committee must have concluded that IU was simply just too non-competitive in too many games. The L’ville, Illini, and Iowa games in particular must have stood out.”

It all feeds the net. All the blowouts do too, along with the inability to blow out the cupcakes that make up that weak NCSOS.
In another thread earlier this week I posted this.

I particularly like the part where they differentiate SOS from NCSOS. Teams should be rewarded by who they schedule.

Woodson has no clue how any of it works. He's probably stunned that it's over. "Haven't even had the All star break yet, man. Still plenty of season left"

Hard to get upset about IU not making it after watching Woodson "cook" the last four years.

But UNC's AD is weak. If you're going to run the committee, answer the question and at least acknowledge the situation. That was amateur hour.

Could this have been a difference maker?
If it was it shouldn't be. NCSOS is decided by Dec. Teams don't stay stagnant according to their December results, some get better some get worse. IU got a little better, UNC became worse.

Conference ratings are decided with the same flaw.

The NCSOS argument in favor of UNC suggests that actually winning games is irrelevant. It’s a BS “rationale”, plain and simple.

Indiana played 25 of 32 power conf games right, and 2 of 4 NC were tournament teams.

And according to the committee's SEC ball gurgling, South Carolina was likely in the top 20 teams to not make the tourney.

My point, as we learned during the football season, SOS is as manipulated and flawed metric as there is, and might be why the NET has been exposed as extremely flawed these past couple of seasons

Wow, IU sucked and so did UNC. Neither should have even been a consideration for the tournament. But I like all the fancy stat bullshit…NOT!! If many of you are arguing about this, then maybe Dolson should just go for the “just get by coach”. Absolutely ridiculous. It is so sad as to what the current so called “IU fans” expect.

So if you do better than expected against a stronger opponent but still lose, that counts the same as getting blown out of the gym in the first 6 minutes as IU has done?
Both were bad, but at some point you HAVE to beat someone with a pulse. UNCs 1 Q1 win was who, UCLA?? MSU and Purdue clearly better wins than anyone they beat, AND they gad a Q3 loss which is worse than any loss IU had
