My expectations this year

My version of what I saw actually happen.

Bad offense, no movement, zero chemistry, careless with the ball and shot selection. Poor offensive IQ, poor free throw shooting, poor 3 point shooting. Players not developed or not ready when put in the game. No flow or consistent rotations.

Bad defense, poor on the ball defense, weak close outs, weak block outs, poor positioning on defense causing bad fouls.

No adjustments or accountability from the coaching staff.
Archie Miller should be let go. Mistakes happen, bad hires happen. But letting this continue would be worse.

Your expectations were unrealistic. The chance of improving from kenpom 70+ to top 15 in one season is slim. Less than 5%.

So so many problems. Offensively were pitiful. I got the first hand look tonight from row 11. Wichita just sat back and read our stupid ball screen weave like a book. There was no effective movement. On defense a few times we over helped way too much and left people wide open. How long is it gonna take for archie to realize he stupid bs weave doesnt work very well?

I think that's not realistic, but I did expect a top 20 team and definite NCAA bid. I think Archie has failed miserably and time to move on. He will get next year, but he doesn't deserve it and he should be fired for what we pay/

You think Wichita's offensive scheme was any different from IU's? The main difference is they have shooters. They shot very well from the 3 point line and free throw line, and IU didn't. I think Wichita St. was also better at penetrating and finding the open man.

Argue all you want, but bottom line is we are paying 3.5 million to SUCK. How long do you want this to continue? We could probably hire a better HS coach and realistically pay then $200K and get better results, this is a disaster hire that needs to end much like Bryce Drew.

Bigger & stronger...also switching to zone at the end was a nice coaching move

Wichita moved the ball better and gave their shooters the opportunity to hit those step in threes.

IU is going to have to find some shooters somewhere. I would agree that IU is going to need to get bigger and stronger. It was nice to get DD back, but Juwan and Justin Smith doesn't cut it as your 4 and 5. We got bullied this year a lot down low. Ball movement has been an issue. We definitely need to improve on offense.

A year ago you were telling us all how great Bryce Drew was. Maybe you should sit this one out.
