Not good!!! Trying to work some connections without much luck. $1,500 per to sit in obstructed view (at the top of the stadium BEHIND the stage)
I know they are crazy. BUT…..my niece is 35 and goes to lots of concert, Dave Mathew’s, Phish, all kinds and varieties. She took her 10 year old daughter and she said it was unlike anything she has ever experienced. I’ve seen lots of videos and it’s just amazing. Prices do generally go down right before the concert. You will be cool Dad forever though if you can swing this.

I’m not even that big a fan, but from watching all the videos I want to go. If you bite the bullet, tell her it’s birthday and Christmas and everything else for the year. Would you go with her?

That’s the other issue. I’m not sure 🤔 want her and her buddy alone and I can’t imagine just the two of us. So really it’s 3 tix. I like Taylor swift. I’d totally like to go.

Her and her friend are in Fla now with their church group. Some old lady bought all of their breakfasts at IHOP but said they had to cover the tip. She was texting me bc covering the tip left the two of them clueless.

Should have just booked a trip to Maui dude. Will end up being cheaper & you’ll actually enjoy it.😂

It is the biggest thirst trap in existence. 80% women running around in their TSwift clubbing dresses and cowboy boots, many in their 20's and early 30's.

If you go, be sure to wear your ascot and best flatbill.

In case anyone missed this, actor Julian Sands’s body was finally found in CA. Avid hiker. Missing for like five months. Don’t know if I’ll still be hiking something that rough at 65.

I remember Warlock and Ocean’s 13. He was in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo but I had to look it up because I couldn’t remember him in it.

Set your DVRs!
The Smithsonian Channel is running a marathon of its show, Aerial America, starting on Monday. They will run shows on all 50 states.
Love this show.

Lol! I’ll talk her into a good Labor Day trip instead. I wouldn’t pay that to bang Taylor swift much less hear her sing
C'mon, man...you know you would so employ this strategy.

Just watched Metal Lords on Netflix with my son. Good, 80's style, coming-of-age comedy. Lots of cursing and my wife would've been pissed I let my 13-year-old watch it, but pretty watchable for a Netflix original. I'd imagine you'd like it even more if you were into Heavy Metal.

Wait, what???

I had no idea of this.

Heavy Metal?

or, heavy metal?

I was a tween when I secretly watched Heavy Metal on early 80's HBO and I think it f#$ked me up cause it had everything in a cartoon (which I never experienced before).... gruesome deaths, outrageous drug use, graphic sex and hard core violence but an amazing soundtrack and I bet was funnier than I remember (it would bounce back from funny short stories to insanely violent short stories. IIRC it's about an alien energy ball that would go from place to place and give average people incredible physical power, then you see what they did with it).

Amazing soundtrack. Black Sabbath's Mob Rules being a highlight. Again as a tween that liked pop songs like the Safety Dance and Mr. Roboto.....hearing the Mob Rules for the first time at ~12 was like 'okay, bubble gum playtime music is over'.

Anyway, I'm going to try to find it again and give it a rewatch.

Do you remember The Maxx on Cartoon Network? Mid 90’s. Like 18 or something episodes. Amazing story. Never dabbled much in anime or animated much of anything (I’ve seen the big obvious ones like Akira or Princess Mononoke) and still have never seen anything as compelling since.

No and I've never watched any anime either but I've seen it on several 'best of' lists.

I might need to expand my horizons. Obviously good animation allows you to create anything to tell a great story. I grew up watching Looney tunes or really bad animation like He-Man or one that was on TBS that featured a robot (G-Force???) so yeah I never gave it much of a chance other than comedies.

I still haven't seen the Iron Giant even though it's considered one of the most emotionally gut wrenching movies of all time.

The wife and I watched "Jesus Revolution" with Kelsey Grammer and Jonathan Roumie, who played Lonnie Frisbee. Roumie also plays Jesus in "The Chosen", which we have watched 2 of 3 seasons. We enjoy it, and he is fun to watch.
