As a fiscal conservative, I think we ought to go after each and every person that isn't paying his or her income taxes. I like low income taxes, but I pay every dime I owe. At least I probably do since my wife is my CPA and she's the most honest person I know.

What if it costs more to go after some people than they owe?

Nah. Crappy management in films is no different or more glamorous than crappy management in government or large corporations. Too many people not incentivized to give a damn about the wisdom of the money they are spending. And films have to deal with shit Pakistani customer service just like sporting goods manufacturers. 🤣
Bwahahaha written like somebody who can have happy hour at sur and doesn’t have the foggiest idea how horrible it is to deal with pakis

Of course, that would have to be considered, but an IRS agent/auditor gets paid the same amount every year whether he catches tax cheats or not. At least until those that don't catch any get fired. I'd have to look it up, but there are billions and billions in unpaid taxes every year. Every billion counts, right?

Yes, but you said "each and every" as if the amount didn't matter, as if it were a moral issue.

I get that. I feel the same way you do about the unfairness of someone cheating on their taxes. But, fiscally, it doesn't make sense to chase down every last one.

I said it should be considered. I don't know how much the cost is per case, but if a case indicates anything equal to or more than average cost, go after them.
